Absolutely NOTHING appears in the CONUS North of about 39.5 degrees from the Pacific to the Atlantic oceans.
This is quite unusual, I believe

Nothing weird or eerie about it - there’s an average but there’s random gaps and surges of activity - just like the climate varies by season and other natural factors - even “Old Faithful” has variations of up to 1o minutes or so.

It looks like someone at the USGS office just cut everything N of the US/Can border except for one in the Strait of Georgia and three mine explosions in BC.
Someone is having an “I’ll show them” moment, I suppose.
