President Donald Trump attacked CNN’s Kaitlan Collins at Friday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner — claiming she “never smiles” and comparing her to trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Roughly 10 minutes into a wild, rambling address, the president mockingly saluted Collins — who was presented an award from the White House Correspondents’ Association.
“I want to personally congratulate CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on receiving her award,” Trump said. “It was all about me. It was a fake, she shouldn’t get the award, it was a fake. But I didn’t mind. I said, ‘Kaitlan, congratulations.’ But it was fake, there’s no question about it. But she’s a young, attractive woman. She never smiles. I said, ‘Kaitlan do you ever smile? Smile!’ You have a nice position, you’re at CNN fake news. You should be a happy person. So smile, Kaitlan! Just smile.”
The president went on to compare Collins to Mulvaney — who gained national attention for being featured in a promotion by Bud Light.
“I thought Kaitlan had really made it big with a major new sponsorship,” Trump said. “But then I informed her that it wasn’t her on the Bud Light can, it was Dylan Mulvaney.”

The ONLY reason she advanced so fast is that first exchange in Rose Garden with Trump where he put her in her place. She then became a Trump hater and advanced to the top of CNN very quickly. I can’t stand her and it bothers me that her hometown is the one next to me. Most around here are die-hard conservatives and she is one of the few exceptions.
I agree, I think people having to listen to it was Trump punishing them for so many ignoring his speech on voter fraud.
