On Thursday’s Morning Joe, MS NOW’s Jonathan Lemire grossly misrepresented the scale of New Jersey’s non-citizen voter registration scandal.
Lemire claimed that the state “had to acknowledge that a few hundred voters were, you know, non-citizens were mistakenly added to the voting rolls.”
That is false. According to multiple reports, including NBC News, roughly 6,600 non-citizens were improperly registered to vote, allegedly because of a software error at the Motor Vehicle Commission. About 400 of them cast ballots.
By switching the two numbers, Lemire shrank the registration failure by more than 90% -- leaving viewers with a dramatically understated picture of what actually occurred.

Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Hey, he only understated the size of the scandal by 90%: no biggie!
And if the “official” count they actually admit to is around 6,000, then you know the REAL number is probably over 60,000.
6000 here , 6000 there …. Next thing you senile pedophiles are getting 81m votes.
These illegals don't have to vote. The left does it on their behalf. The left just needs plausible math in the totals.
That “real” number is the number the governor admitted to. The number put forward is 35,152.
"The four states where over 250,000 non-citizens were found registered to vote are California, New Jersey, Nevada, and Pennsylvania."
Some very crafty immigrants, legal and otherwise, have deliberately chosen not to make the checkmark.
The real number is closer to 100K. We have 600K illegals in NJ.
Someone last night was saying the the number has now climbed to 35,000.
News media are absurdly progressing from “no vote fraud” “never happened” through “Admit it but it was software to blame” and now “But 6,000 amounts to point 0000 (something) percent so didn’t affect the outcome.”
Soon, but that was only one state, an oddity out of 50 states.
Two Americas.
I visit NPR.org every day to see what they don’t report. It is always a quick read of vacuous irrelevancies.
Anything that matters, anything that could reflect poorly on rats or make PDJT look good, just isn’t covered.
We do not adequately despise the rat media for fostering Trump Derangement and the demise of our republic.
