"The House of Representatives passed the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act on Wednesday. The bill still includes the provision which merges the Israeli military into the U.S. military. The NDAA now goes to the Senate where there is still a chance for the Israeli merger provision to be stripped out."

The US military should be THE US MILITARY! I don’t give a rip who is allied with us or not. Each nation should be in control of each nations military.
No, this is bad on all levels, for both Nations.

The beginning of a global military.
The US benefits at least as much as Israel.
They independently develop some of most advanced military tech in existence. Even though they don’t always have the money to produce it.
If this in fact does merge the two militaries, then we are over as a sovereign nation. All the military leaders, all the politicians, will be out to prove they are not anti-Semitic and the Israelis will be in charge.

The MILITARIES remain separate entities.

Each military has its own independent command structure. And each is autonomous.
