Back during WWII the media promoted the military and the heroes who were fighting for our nation. There was ambivalence in the general populace, but the media then wasn’t trying to augment that ambivalence to push a political agenda. They are now.

WWII was a fully declared war by Congress, and FDR ordered the entire nation mobilized to address the threats.
Every asset the US had was directed to fighting the Axis powers.
Today, we don’t have any declaration of war, the president still hasn’t briefed Congress or us on the details of why he chose now to attack, and it would sure be nice to know what the measurable and achievable mission goals are.
