Ukrainian drones hit more sites of Russian online retailer Wildberries

Ukrainian drones have hit warehouses belonging to Russia's biggest online retailer again, injuring 15 people, according to the company's founder and regional governors.

Logistics hubs run by Wildberries in two south-west cities were impacted by overnight attacks and workers evacuated, the founder said.

It is the second time Ukraine has attacked the firm's facilities in four days, with warehouses in Tambov and Elektrostal hit over the weekend, killing eight people.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that Ukraine had hit logistics hubs in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions "involved in providing the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment and other gear".

Workers were evacuated after the attacks on logistics centres in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk in the Stavropol region, Wildberries founder Tatyana Kim said.

"There are no words to describe all the feelings and emotions caused by the attacks on ordinary people, on our employees, on us, who are simply doing our jobs," she wrote on Telegram. "But these situations demonstrate the most important thing: we must continue to do what we do for the benefit of people."

Five people were hurt in a warehouse complex on the outskirts of Nevinnomyssk, Governor Vladimir Vladimirov reported, with everyone receiving outpatient treatment.

In Krasnodar, ten people were injured in an attack on a warehouse complex, with three in a serious condition, the region's governor Veniamin Kondratyev said.

BBC Verify has analysed footage and confirmed fires in the two locations.

Reports of the strikes first emerged just after 00:00 GMT, with the Russian state news agency TASS reporting that air defences had been activated in Nevinnomyssk. Dramatic footage filmed by locals began to emerge shortly after.

If I worked at a Wildberries distribution center, I'd call in sick.

Historically, the Amazon delivery wars take place before the franchise wars, when all restaurants become Taco Bell....

This war is worse than the Hatfields and the McCoys fued.

How many more young men and civilians will die before it ends?

A Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet has shot down a Russian aircraft in air-to-air combat for the first time, according to General Dan Kane, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. Kane made the announcement during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing.

During the hearing, Senator Richard Durbin asked Kane about the potential impact if funding for Ukraine’s air defense systems were to be halted for three years. In response, the general emphasized that Ukraine’s defense industry has greatly expanded, now covering everything from surface-to-air systems to air combat capabilities.

As an example of Ukraine's growing strength, Kane cited this recent air battle, stating, “Recently, we witnessed the first-ever air-to-air engagement where a Ukrainian F-16 shot down a Russian fighter jet. Over the past few years, and with the support of many partners, Ukraine has significantly enhanced its layered defense system.”

Kane also noted that Western assistance has allowed Ukraine to bolster a multi-tiered defense network and expand its own military capabilities.

During the hearings, Kane was directly asked whom he wanted to see win the war between Russia and Ukraine. His response: “I want Ukraine to win.” When asked if Russia is a friend to the US, Kane described the relationship as “complicated,” adding that he does not consider Russia an American ally.

Good news. Russia will make them pay even more than they are now. I wouldn’t vacation in Odessa this year.

The Russians can end it any time by just going home.

We’ve been hearing that bravado for over four years. The Russians have been hitting Ukrainian with everything they can already. There is nothing more. Face it, Russia does not have the resources to force Ukraine to surrender.

Yes, Putin will now:

1-invade and seize Ukraine's land...Already doing that.

2-terror bomb civilians...Already doing that.

Only one man can answer that question.

[Also, I don’t think that either the Hatfields or the McCoys sent 190,000 troops into their neighbor’s land.]

Ukraine should have attacked Wildberries four years ago. It finally got Putin to take off the gloves. Would have been alot less loss of life on both sides.

Amazon has experimented with drone delivery, sounds like Wildberries has perfected it, but in reverse.

Putin thought that continued pressure would cause Ukraine’s defenses to collapse at some point. That failed strategy is part of the Russian mythos.

Wildberries! That’s the last straw to wake the drunk corrupt bear. Not the oil refineries. Not the Moskva. Not the million casualties. This war is about to finally start!

You are delusional, and moral trash.

I find it interesting that a Russian retail company uses an English name. No sign of Russian on their marketing.

I have seen lots of English used on vehicles etc. in videos and photos.
