I remember when Al Michaels fired Boomer Esiason during the Rams-Titans Super Bowl. I wondered if the same thing happened to Boomer.

Most places now have security in the floor while an HR person delivers the news and escorts them out. If the person gets violent security will jump in but ex employees have successfully sued because being escorted out of the building by security can infer the person has done something wrong.
