His book is good but not great.
Yes, I am a partisan Pennsylvanian; and, as such I am dumbstruck at how anyone could write a history (or make a film) on the American Revolution without any mention of the Pennsylvania rifle aka “the widowmaker” which leveled the playing field for the patriots.
And how can one omit any mention of York to which the Second Continental Congress was exiled for nine months, during which time the first Thanksgiving proclamation was issued and the Article of Confederation were prepared?
