The head of one the country’s top medical schools sparked outrage during a tense House hearing after refusing to say that only women can get pregnant.
Dr. Sam Hawgood, chancellor of the University of California San Francisco, was pressed by Washington lawmakers Tuesday over the school’s guidelines against using the term “pregnant women,” while testifying about the impact of DEI initiatives in medical schools.
“Doctor Hawgood, you see UCSF’s Classroom Guide, titled ‘Framework for Gender and Sex Concepts in Teaching,’ advises against using the term ‘pregnant women,'” Rep. Mary Miller of Illinois said.
“Instead, it says to use ‘pregnant people.’ Who are ‘pregnant people’ compared to ‘pregnant women’? Just curious.”
“So, that is a part of a curriculum to help our students who are facing a wide diversity of patients,” Hawgood replied. “Of course, a vast majority of pregnancies are in women. And I have absolutely no problem with using the word pregnant women. I use it myself.”
Miller shot back, asking the doctor if a “non-biological” woman could carry a child.
“A transgender person can,” Hawgood replied.
“That’s not a biological woman,” Miller responded, asking again if a “non-biological woman ever had a baby?”
“I would reiterate,” Hawgood started, before Miller interjected: “No, it’s ridiculous.”
“We take care of transgender patients,” the chancellor finished.

The more we talk about this crazy ideology of trans whatever, the more it becomes normal. They want this stuff discussed everywhere all the time so it becomes acceptable. It’s evil and we need to end the discussion and stop giving them the attention.

Dr. Sam Hawgood is an old white guy. He is saying this BS to keep his job. California DEI fanatics would replace him with a minority dumbass, in a split second. Probably a double-hyphenated, black female with 4x degrees she did really earn.

I have a good MD. He is younger than me and keeps good notes.
I grew up with lots of docs in my family. Learned a lot about the industry including the hypocratic oath.
A lot of docs out there now are ignorant of the oath or just choosing to ignore it.
