I clicked on my bookmark for Free Republic.
The splash page came up.
And then in dawned on me:
Free Republic is 30 years old this year!

In November, it’ll be 26 years for me.
I like the minimal bells and whistles, and the simple way to follow a conversation. It may not be as pretty as other sites, but is user friendly.
A simpler method to post images would be helpful.

I was online here at FR as I watched the Twin Towers hit. I was at a major tech company then, and there were TVs mounted all over the place. One was directly across from my desk.
