Cop: If someone is offended by your talking, then we have a problem ... If they are offended by your speech ... okay I'll write you a ticket and we'll go from there.
Former cop: Wait, you're going to ticket us for offensive speech?
Cop: Yes! It's disorderly conduct.
A Texas police department says it plans to 'look into' a viral video showing one of its officers warning a Christian street preaching group they could be cited for simply saying something offensive to others.
The encounter occurred June 27 at Trinity Pride Fest in Fort Worth, where police were caught on video threatening to arrest members of a street preaching team led by evangelist Rich Penkoski. According to the video, police blocked Penkoski and David Grisham from accessing the sidewalk upon their arrival at the event ...
A Fort Worth PD spokesman on Monday provided The Christian Post with the following statement: 'The Fort Worth Police Department is committed to protecting the constitutional rights of all individuals, including the right to free speech and peaceful assembly, while also ensuring public safety and enforcing applicable laws and ordinances.
'We are aware of a video and allegations circulating [on] social media. We will need some time to look into this and will provide additional information once our review is complete.'
This is enforcing public blasphemy laws, making it a crime to offend the LGBTQ+ community with biblical truth.
Sounds like an overly zealous cop who thinks her badge and gun means that she gets to determine how our constitutional rights are practiced.
We can infer this because it doesn't appear that this is the first time this woman has pulled a stunt like this, according to The Christian Post.

Nothing worse than a lesbian cop with a little authority throwing her considerable weight around.
I remember back when homosexuals said they just wanted to be left alone to live their lives.
I knew then what was going to happen if they were allowed to thrive in normal society...and here we are....evil right our faces.

I'm offended by her talking. Can they write her a ticket?
Should be immediately terminated.
Maybe the Texas cop doesn’t want his boy friend to suffer any ridicule
YES
The rotten laws around the country in contravention of the Constitution are numerous, and only a few get nixed by the asinine Supremes.
Red state.
Leviticus 18:22: "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."
Leviticus 20:13: "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them."
If they didn’t can her for doing it last year I doubt they will this time.
I’ve never believed females being street level cops was a good idea but not for this reason.
But lesbian cop harassing Christians is now on the list of why it’s a bad idea.
Homosexuals now basically own the military, thanks to Obama.
Now, they get a special exception for having HIV, a serious, permanent, potentially deadly infection, while being allowed to enlist.
Corrected.
God speaks of the abomination of homosexuality in Romans as well.
I think it’s important to remember Ephesians 6:12
“12 For we[a] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.”
I’m not a theologian, but I don’t believe there has ever been a religion that has allowed for homosexual conduct. One of the tactics of the sodomites is to pretend that Christians are after them, while ignoring the fact that no other religion supports them, either. If fact, at least one (islam) still to this day publicly executes them, yet we hear nothing of that from our ‘media’...
So street preaching can be interpreted as disorderly conduct..... So what is it when the Muslims have call to prayers chanting over loud speakers? Street takeovers for praying?
Victims need a civil remedy against the officers in cases like this, where the lack of any speech crime was not even arguable. Otherwise, this will continue.
The remedy should have been enacted already. Another example of the Texas legislature falling asleep.
What makes this especially frustrating is that these kinds of confrontations are everywhere on social media. This isn’t some rare, once-in-a-career situation where confusion would be understandable. This officer was representing Fort Worth, yet she apparently hadn’t taken the time to understand the constitutional principles governing free speech. That’s not something that should be left to guesswork.
Law enforcement agencies need to place greater emphasis on training for high-profile First Amendment issues like this, especially when officers are likely to encounter them in public demonstrations and other expressive events.
The response should have been, Sugar Britches this isn’t a we problem, it’s a you problem.
The only appropriate response is “I’ll see you in court officer.”
Obviously, that’s not going to stand. Nobody has a right to not be offended.
Why isn’t deprivation of rights under color of law prosecuted more?
