The midterm election is less than four months away, and Republicans hold majorities in both houses of Congress, yet their track record has been abysmal.
Other than the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” congressional Republicans have delivered little for their supporters. Republican voters are surely wondering why they gave the GOP the majority in both houses of Congress in the 2024 election. ADVERTISEMENT
President Donald Trump is doing everything he can, with a flurry of Executive Orders, but it is impossible to implement his ambitious agenda without the support of Congress.
This type of opposition occurred during his first term. Trump had a Republican Congress in his first two years. Other than the Trump tax cuts, Congress was unwilling to fund the President’s request for border wall construction and refused to end the nightmare known as the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare.

Sadly I fear you are correct.
Thune is crappola
The poll really reflects a degree of ignorance that reflects 100% what they think and less than 50% of what they know, and 50% they do not know at all.
The House has actually been doing quite a lot, and maybe the Senate less so, but if the blame goes to “Congress” it means “I don’t really know who to blame so I’ll blame them all”, as if the good ones in Congress can somehow force the bad ones to go along with them.
Most folks don’t even know what their own rep is or is not doing.
GOP Base is Disgusted with Do-Nothing Congress, Plans to Vote Democrat to Teach Them a Lesson.
Totally Disgusted!!!
Totally Disgusted!!!
But now I try to be amused.
Its getting to the point where the only thing I hate worse than a Democrat is a Republican. 😣
Count me as one of them. Senator Coach Tubberville is leaving Sodom on the Potomac after one term because of the crap up there. He is running for Gov of our state against the liberal Ahole that Coach beat to become senator.
I've lived at the same address for 30 years - North Texas, Valley Ranch/Irving...about a mile from the former Dallas Cowboys HQ. It has been a purple district up until 8 years ago. Thanks to redistricting, we lost Beth Van Duyne to a 75% Democrat district stretching to Fort Worth. The last two representatives are Colin Allred and Julie Johnson. Allred won the recent primary, is likely to win in November. That will mark a decade without representation for me.
I know what they're doing, but there's little I can do about it. I'm a member of the local chapter of the True Texas Project.
Like dfwgator, my 'burb is now 60+% South Asian. Those who have become naturalized are reliable Democrat voters who don't make much of an attempt to assimilate. At least 3/4 of the kids in our elementary schools live in households where English is not the first language spoken.
Yeah, and we cannot even muster up a protest about it.
True.
But hardly enough to get GOP voters to the polls if they don’t have something more productive to do.
I’m disgusted with the do nothing base.
The GOP should fear us...they don’t.
Not by much.
GOP is useless. They helped to pass the ridiculous CR non budgets that fund the fraud. Zero oversight.
As bad as Dems.
Yep
Scpott wants to be Senate Leader.
Thune needs to go to the back of the bus.
Or be primaried out.
He doesn’y have enough sense to leave yje leadership on his own.
I do not care if he keeps his seat, as long as he resigns the leadership.Thune is ruining the country.
Votem out for who?
Most of the primaries are finished...that leaves the general.
I would never vote for a dumblecrat...EVER. So I keep pulling the pubbie lever...
We have a very diverse area in terms of “nation” of origin background, with many South Asians who are mostly small business owners. Many are very pro-business GOP voters.
and Republicans hold majorities in both houses of Congress,
