A German soccer fan who came to America to support his national team during the 2026 World Cup completely broke down on live television after realizing the nonstop anti-American propaganda he was fed back home was total garbage.
Sebastian Kraus got emotional during an interview with NBC 10 Boston after experiencing real American kindness that shattered everything the media had told him.
He admitted he was scared to travel to the United States because of the constant news about shootings, criminals, and claims that the country is not safe.
Then a man named Bob and his family from New England stepped in when Sebastian and his group got stranded. They offered the Germans a ride to their hotel, no questions asked.
That simple act of generosity changed everything.
Sebastian told the reporter he watched the farewell video with Bob dozens of times.
“I watched the video by myself maybe 40 times. I had tears in my eyes.”
Perhaps the most remarkable moment came when Sebastian admitted he has fallen in love with this country.
He even cried in the stadium. He was more upset about the prospect of leaving America than Germany being eliminated from the tournament.
As his trip came to an end, he delivered a message that many in today’s polarized world could benefit from hearing.
“Americans are not rude. Germans are not rude. If we are together, we can achieve great things.”
According to the NBC report, Kraus extended his stay in the United States to celebrate Independence Day in Washington, D.C., before returning home to Germany, where he said he intends to tell friends and family about the America he actually experienced, rather than the one often portrayed in headlines.
The story serves as a reminder that while many legacy media outlets around the world frequently focus on America’s problems, millions of ordinary Americans continue to display the generosity, hospitality, and neighborly spirit that have long defined the nation.

Governments and their misinformation and they’re passing laws saying they are the only ones with the real information and they’ll arrest you if you appose
When I was a GI in Germany during the Vietnam War, a lot of Germans disliked us, or saw us an inconvenient necessity to keep the Russians out, but some of the older people practically wanted to adopt me. Being polite and learning a few words of their language went a long way.
Americans are nice. Germans are arrogant.
Leftist/ media hating America types heads are exploding. Imagine all these Europeans will be arrested when they return and sent to reeducation camps😎
I don’t know about the arrogance part. But here’s Bob Newhart talking about the Germans having no sense of humor.

Thanks for posting this. Love it!
Reminds me of people from behind the Iron Curtain, who saw the US for the first time, and realized how their propaganda lied to them.
Americans are nice. Germans are arrogant.
Just don’t mention the war.
Trump foresaw this eight years ago when he got us the World Cup. They came for the games and went home in love with America. This will not end well for the rodents running these countires. THe European Parliment has already been forced to make a total 180 and essentially slam the door on immigrants legal or illegal. They didn’t want to do this but they were forced by the building rightwing power in Europe. The returnees will demand freedom. They will be offered a little freedom the way Gorbachev tried and failed with win communism collapse. It won’t work for today’s European communists either. People want freedom to live their lives in safety not fear of Muslim scumbags raping and lkilling them.
Stalin sent Red Army soldiers who served in Germany straight to the gulags, because they saw too much of the Non-Communist world, and knew the truth about Capitalism.
This kind of cuts both ways...the propaganda & the reality. I had some trepidation traveling to Europe with all of the articles about no-go zones with their muslim population. But I saw very little of muslim influence in London or Paris, & the only thing I saw in Scotland was a sign for an Islamic mortuary. :-)
Of course, these folks are not visiting our worst places. But it is heartening to see the reaction when they see our beautiful country.
When I was 25 back in the mid-70s, I went overseas for a couple of years for field service engineering assignments in industrial and utility power plants. I worked in China, Philippines, Guam, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Sardina. I transited through Japan and Italy. I visited an acquaintance and her family in Zermatt, Switzerland (I had met her on a train in Chile). Later in my career, I worked in England, Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Japan.
One of my biggest lessons-learned from those experiences is the stories you read in the newspapers are always horribly exaggerated and overblown.
I’m very glad to read so many stories of people from Europe here for the World Cup have learned the same lesson.
With AI generating stories, my guess is that the propaganda will be worse.
My older daughter loves to travel to Europe, especially France and Switzerland. She has never seen any of the bad muslim behaviors we hear about. A district manager at the company I worked for before retired, who was an East Coast elite type, retired to live in Paris. I’ve often wondered how she fared there.
Exactly my experience in the late 70s. The German civilian caretaker of our rifle range was a WW2 paratrooper who jumped into Crete. He was a great storyteller who was proud to work for the US Army.
Our experience in connection with a bucket list visit to the Normandy Beaches in 2017 (20 years after our first two week sojourn in France) was marred by the fact that my backpack was stolen less than 1 hour into our trip which required a detour to Paris to the US Embassy for a replacement so I could return home. The Champs Elyses, on our walk to the Arch was overrun with panhandling Muslim women with a gaggle of kids on the iconic street flanked by stores such as Gucci, and Yves St Laurent. The place was awful, and smelt terrible. Couldn’t wait to get out of Paris to the Champagne countryside; wouldn’t care to go there again!
As for their sense of humor, it is pretty much limited to the joy they get from torturing children.
Though one of funnier events happened on the train while I was traveling from Ramstein to Marseille. An older German couple shared a breakfast cubicle with me and the German guy asked me if I was English, I told him no, I'm an American. He scowled at me and said, "I don't like Americans - took me a prisoner in 1942 - made me harvest corn in Tennessee!"
I told him, "sure beats the Russian Front". He smiled at that point and agreed and he paid for breakfast.
