Greeks had vastly superior players. Aristotle is worth more than that whole crappy German team combined.

Wonder how they’d do against the Long John Silver Impersonators?

Greeks against Germans. Much better matchup than the earlier round of Brits vs. Frenchies.
William of Ockham, John Stuart Mill, Thomas Hobbes and John Locke prevailed against Jean-Paul Sartre messed things up for Descartes and Pascal. Voltaire had some interesting moves, though. Rousseau underperformed. Thomas Moore was unable to play.

I went to Roslindale High School in the 1960s (Boston, MA) and we had the BEST Soccer Team in the entire New England Region.

They were all Greek Kids, as Roslindale had a huge Greek Immagrant community.

I would expect that the Other team of Philosophers would have been from Boys Latin. LOL!

Well the kids around here are amused. They know archemedes, pulling up the iconic painting, Nietsche, Confucius, his Chinese name and, of course, Monty Python, realizing they must have come up with this while studying at Cambridge and Oxford

It’s hilarious to me, seeing soccer as no more than”there’s no score yet, but it is very exciting”

Actually, it’s not widely known but the real problem for the Frogs was that Foucault took their original game plan strategy and deconstuctured it before they took the field.
