For two weeks, former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized with no update on his condition.

And now this:

Cocaine Mitch may have had a heart attack in his home and no one on his staff or in his family has said a word about it?

This guy isn't a private citizen. He is one of the most powerful politicians in the country. He's 84. He's been falling and glitching out during interviews for several years.

Why is he still in office?? This new report from the New York Post comes after they reviewed tapes from District Fire and EMS dispatch after paramedics arrived to the former Leader's home.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was found 'unconscious' and may have suffered a heart attack at his DC residence before being rushed to a local hospital last month, according to a District Fire and EMS dispatch call made public Wednesday.

The June 14 call referenced medical personnel in an ALS, or Advanced Life Support, ambulance being sent to the home shortly before 9 a.m. and mentioned there was 'CPR in progress' for a 'cardiac arrest.'

Punchbowl News first reported on the EMS radio traffic.

Paramedics rolled up an an unconscious McConnell and believed he had had a heart attack and performed CPR before taking him to a DC hospital.

And the McConnell team has yet to say ANYTHING about it!

This would be my prediction if that scenario does arise: He’ll decline to make an appointment at all with the spin he’ll “let the voters decide” to make the Republicans have one less seat in an already slim majority. That way he can sort of halfway skirt the law.

These pols don’t shoot their way into office every few years. It’s an asleep at the wheel electorate that keeps them viable. Term limits are here right now. The electorate is the problem…dont vote, wont inform themselves etc.

“It’s an asleep at the wheel electorate that keeps them viable. “

We have a representative government. But electing the right people who will really represent the people depends on information. The forever politician owns the media through a complex web of people and institutions he supports with grants, policies, access etc. Those people and institutions dominate the information space. Someone who is working hard at succeeding in his life is focused on that and only dedicates a few minutes per day to whatever is going on. The majority of what he sees is dominated by the minions of the forever politician.

Madonna was found dead, allegedly was resuscitated, and now she’s got 3 top 10 hits at almost 70 year old. Is it really Madonna?

>At this point, I’m beginning to wonder if he’s even alive.

If the election were tomorrow, the (R)N(C) base would STILL re-elect him in a landslide

Yet he STILL refuses to step down so his constituents can have a living breathing representative. Our elected officials are treated sooo very well, U.S. royalty, that nothing can get them to retire.

Politicians who are obviously decades past their Best-By will never leave office voluntarily. That’s because their identity...who they are...is tied up in being “Senator Soandso.” If they left office, they would no longer have an identity. The sycophants around them who are supporting their ego would vanish. No more, (big welcoming smile) “Good morning, Senator! Here’s your coffee. If you don’t mind, I’ll read your schedule for you. Oh, and your limo is running late but we’re pausing the meeting until you arrive.”

They’d just wake up alone to drudgy, dreary days with no one but a paid nurse who will take their blood pressure with nary a smile.

There is a lot of truth in what you write, however these people have plenty of money, enough to insure hot and cold running nurses with smiles on demand.

I think it is the reverse. The media owns the forever politicians. National politicians I talked to over the years confided they were afraid of the media above all things.

Of course, that is now changing as Conservative or “Trumpian” media now has got enough space so most people have a choice.

The old, dominant media no longer are able to “control the narrative”.

President Trump has show the politicians they no longer have to be terrified of the “Media”.

“Our elected officials are treated sooo very well, U.S. royalty, that nothing can get them to retire.”

Other than the American electorate these aholes have no oversight.

They write the laws and exempt themselves from being responsible for many things in the process.

As I understand it, if caught DUI while congress is in session they cannot be arrested.

Can you believe that?

Also, recently discovered they have their own personal quick access check-in line at airports so they don’t have to stand in line with us peons.

Along with the media, we don’t hate most of congress enough.

Per AI...

“There is no legal mechanism or constitutional provision, such as the 25th Amendment, to involuntarily remove an incapacitated or severely ill U.S. Senator. Short of resignation or death, the only way to remove a seated senator is expulsion, which requires a two-thirds supermajority vote by the Senate.”

We don’t have a Senate.

We have a House of Lords.
