A mock firing squad dubbed “Commandos for Christ” stormed into a Kentucky Baptist church’s vacation bible school — and executed the devil as part of a bewildering skit in front of young children.
The bizarre scenes, which unfolded at Lexington’s Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, saw armed soldiers take out their enemy and pastor Dewayne Walker rallied kids to chant “take him out, blow him up,” a TikTok video shared on Reddit Monday shows.
So-called Commandos for Christ surrounded their satanic target – who was flailing on the ground – before they opened fire in front of the screaming audience.
As the noise of gunshots rang out in the room, the “Devil” was shot and dragged out via a side door.
The bewildering scenes sparked fury – and Lexington cops said they received several calls, tips, and concerns over the clip.
Retired teacher Kathi Crowe – who is part of the Moms Demand Action anti-gun violence campaign group – told WAVE the clip was “unbelievably disturbing.”
She said churches should be safe spaces for children and branded the simulation “an appalling abuse.”
Crowe called on church leaders to help prevent violence.
Meanwhile, Walker said in a Facebook video he was “befuddled” by the outrage.
“The misinformation out there is sad, and I guess it’s a part of what this generation has become,” he said.
Walker then explained the message behind the skit, claiming that he’s orchestrated scenario for “the last several years.”
“We have characters every year that represent good and right and God, and we have characters that represent evil and wrong and that which should be avoided,” he said.

Nowhere.
Our church now has armed security around the buildings, and inside, each time it is open for services. There are cameras all around and one major point where the video screens monitor the entire facility.
fighting satan is St Michael’s job....you humans are not to play with such fire.
Would of thought the atheist writers at the NYP could have come up with a more alarming headline to repulse the world regarding...(gag, gag)...believers. /spit
Mo drama
Two strikes right there ...
Did anyone who is actually a member of this congregation complain?
Non-members should simply shut their traps.
Regards,
What a stupid stunt to give the ANTI 2A people ammunition
may God help the minds of the children and lead them to HIM.
During the Hajj, muslims go to a special site to literally throw stones at 3 pillars which represent Satan and the way he tempts us.
Wonder if the jack-a-hoos complaining about the imagery used, complain about ubiquitous violence on news, tv, movies, video games. If they did, they would die of exhaustion.
I think the Pastor might want to present biblical ways to resist the devil. Jesus quoted scripture. We are instructed to submit to God, and to resist the devil, Guns are symbolic but not very biblical. Maybe use whips, slings, spears, and swords! Trusting in God is better, but sadly, much harder to do. IMHO.
So much for love thine enemies...
Teaching young kids that it’s right to unilaterally decide who is the Devil, and execute them...What could go wrong?
OTOH, the complainers probably aren’t telling the whole story. Perhaps they discussed why you SHOULDN’T just decide who needs killin’ and act on it, contrary to local tradition.
I often wonder how these things start.
I think someone in the group says, “I got an idea…”
And no one thinks to tell them it’s a bad idea. And it just flows downhill from there.
Problem is, the devil isn’t defeated through guns and violence. He is defeated through faith in Jesus Christ (though shooting some of his minions is becoming an ever increasing probability, the harder they push). Afraid the kiddies at this church are getting misinformed (though hopefully the actual Gospel message of salvation through faith is also presented).
