Oh man. I'm reading Hegseth's book "The War on Warriors." It's pretty incriminating of the senior leaders at the Pentagon. Woke generals, trans people enlisting for the sex changes unable to contribute for a year, females unable to compete with men and careerists not rocking the boat.

It makes on think the senior enlisted men should be running things as they are the backbone of the military.

Rep. Bacon is one of those wokesters. His only excuse is he wins elections just barely but he's still slime and will be gone.

I see Congress has armchair Generals just like FR does.

“Currently the DOD has 44 four star generals with 1.2 million serving. In WW2 there were only seven 4 star generals and 21 million serving. It’s ripe for firings without replacements.”
-Pete Hegseth, The War on Warriors.” P.42.

How did Donahue last for 17 months under Trump? The entire officer corps needs to be thinned out starting with those that have already put in their 20-exceptions for the warrior types. Following orders is no excuse for putting up with the woke crap. I could see putting up with it while Biden’s in office but if my 20 ended there I wouldn’t look back. Some of the most bitter military men I’ve met were lifers just doing their time.

I’m thinking this has been going on in the military for a long time.
Talked with a retired Captain in Colorado and he was convinced the Jews were behind the USS Liberty because they hated the USA.
In reality it was the CIA-NSA who didn’t tell Israel they were there monitoring to HELP Israel.

Bacon is one of the dumbest retired military officers in public office, hence how I’ve stumbled across his obtuse social media commentary on foreign affairs.

Glad he’s out. Working under him must have been grueling for some …maybe many

Retiring after 34 years is hardly “ being fired”

Some scuttle says his billet was being downgraded to 3-stars which is why it was time to pack it in

One of the themes in the book is how the left succeeded with their wokeisms in the colleges and corporate board rooms and the military is their final frontier. Hegseth’s the man to put a stop to that. Think of his predecessor spending a week in the hospital and not telling anyone.

I think he’ll need all 4 years to do the job.

Fifty years ago the Army was loaded with LIFERs. Lazy Insufficient Fu*koffs Expecting Retirement. After ‘Nam the Chairborne Rangers were focused on getting the War
Fighters out of the competition for promotions.

The entire DOD command staff has gotten bloated with little reform across both Dim and GOP admins. When the command staff has too many “in command” and the whole command structure has to be much leaner to be efficient and effective, it is natural that commanders at many levels will have to retire or take a rank one notch down, IF a post in the lower rank is vacant/available.

And yes, the DOD too-numerous generals, and the friends they always leak to in the media, will complain.

Gosh, i wonder how much we all get to pay the good generals for full pensions and 100% disability pay for life? Sitting in office chairs causes back pains which is full disability pay. Oh…and insomnia!

A four-star retires with an over $200,000/year pension.

**Retiring after 34 years is hardly “ being fired”**

Playing the game and going with the flow. One can lead a good life. Their new retirement system with 401k-like savings plan would allow the disillusioned to drop out without throwing away too many years of their life. The senior enlisteds have to be more committed as no one enjoys their life being defined as following orders.

Gen Donahue was literally the last American troop to leave Afghanistan...that's hardly what I'd call a desk job.
