Seoul says Chinese, Russian military aircraft enter South Korea’s air defence zone

South Korea said it had sent up fighter jets as a precaution after more than 10 Chinese and Russian military aircraft entered its air defence zone today.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff in Seoul said the Chinese and Russian aircraft had entered and then left the Korea Air Defence Identification Zone (KADIZ) over the East Sea and the South Sea.

“South Korea’s military detected the Chinese and Russian aircraft before they entered the zone and deployed Air Force fighter jets to prepare for any contingency,” it said in a statement, without giving more details.

An air defence identification zone is not sovereign airspace but a buffer area where countries identify approaching aircraft for security purposes.

Beijing’s defence ministry said in a statement that the Chinese and Russian air forces conducted a “strategic air patrol” over the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the western Pacific Ocean, “demonstrating their determination and capability to jointly uphold regional peace and stability”.

Red China is training Russian troops for the European war, and with the Russian army and the North Korean army fighting alongside each other in Europe, this is troubling.

He’s on good terms with Trump, and the two of them per South Korean news outlets both left and right, are recently working behind the scenes to restart appeasement talks with the communist North, in case you haven’t noticed.

Russia, which does not recognize Air Defense Identification Zones, enters the Korea Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) one to a few times a year. These flights often occur during joint aerial strategic patrols with China, typically happening 1–2 times per year (most recently in December and late June).

Over a recent five-year period, Russia made approximately 60 incursions into KADIZ. While Beijing and Moscow routinely cite "routine training" or international airspace rights for these maneuvers, Seoul frequently scrambles fighter jets as a precaution.

Ok so the SORKS have an appeaser running the country.

If those planes were shot down over land it would be proof of their encroachment-a shoot down would be justified. The Chicom/Russians would not retaliate because then who would they have to deal with? Encroach over the water-harder to prove. When our interceptors are dispatched in Alaska I doubt the Russian airplanes encroach over land.

Do the Russians really have enough aircraft to fight a war over Korea or anywhere else in East Asia? They seem to put up a good front but I don’t know about their numbers.

It is message sending, not a challenge to fight.

SK is slowly becoming Commie on their own. No shots will be needed.
