Maine Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner is facing yet more scrutiny after archived social media posts surfaced containing graphic remarks, controversial political statements, and comments about military veterans.
The posts, recovered from Platner’s former Reddit account and reviewed by multiple outlets, remained accessible through internet archives despite efforts to remove much of his online activity. Among the material drawing attention was a response Platner posted in 2014 to an online discussion asking users to share offensive jokes.
Under the username P-Hustle, Platner responded to a Reddit prompt asking users to share “the most f*cked up, jaw-dropping, offensive joke you know?”
Platner replied with a joke that referenced incest, bestiality, and necrophilia.

Silly me. I’m been on records for over a month guessing he was just in to diddling little boys.
How was I to know his perversions were worse than that.
This will only solidify his bona fides.

Outrageous! Our tax dollars paid for at least 12 years of education and his spelling and punctuation are atrocious.
There is shock humor which is generally distasteful but this is just… gross. Not “so gross it’s funny” but just weird and sick.

Platner, like Fetterman and Talarico, are candidates for people who are sick to death of the whole structure and would just as soon see it torn down - and there are a lot of them.
Fetterman had an easy path beating Dr. Oz. I know nothing about Texas, so it’s hard to predict the Talarico race.
But Maine is full of voters like the ones I described above, and Susan Collins is the last New England Republican standing - and she looks like she would never make it through another term.
Platner, as I said, is a done deal.
That was a profoundly awful ‘joke’ and I wish I had never read it, however, having spent a few years in the service, and living with all kinds of guys, I assure you, Platner has missed his calling.
He should be a Stand Up Comic in some Beer & Bong type Sea Side saloon. There are people who share that kind of cynical, ‘double-vulgar’ humor. I don’t.
