Armie Hammer is back in a leading role with the release of Citizen Vigilante.

The new action-thriller from filmmaker Uwe Boll is now available on all major TVOD platforms like Apple TV, YouTube, and Prime Video in the United States as of Friday (June 19), giving viewers a chance to see the film from home.

Citizen Vigilante story is Sanders (Hammer), a wealthy American businessman living in Zagreb who inherited a massive real estate empire from his late father. Intelligent, isolated and emotionally scarred, Sanders transforms himself into a feared underground vigilante targeting violent criminals, rapists and corrupt judges who escaped meaningful punishment through the legal system.

As his brutal campaign gains traction online and across the media, Sanders becomes both a wanted criminal and an unlikely public hero. But not everyone sees him as a savior. Interpol Chief Henry, played by Mandylor, believes Sanders represents a dangerous threat to society and launches an aggressive international pursuit to stop him before his influence spirals out of control.

Don't know about the quality of the movie.

Banned in Germany already.

In 1974, 'Death Wish' came out, spurring multiple sequels. Similar subject matter.

If Armie really wants to make a comeback, he should star in a reboot of Soylent Green. But this one would have a surprise twist ending when he finds out that Soylent Green is people.

Uwe Boll? Low quality fun-fest, probably only worth watching while under the influence of numerically more chemicals than a Twinkie stuffed with Zingers.

Yeah, I’ll be watching it. Thanks for the heads up!

Too bad it’s made by Boll or might have been an entertaining movie

Go in with realistic expectations of a Uwe Boll film, and you’ll be quite impressed.

Okay, I just watched it. I’m no film critic, but it’s a Death Wish movie with a little The Accountant thrown in, fairly low budget, and it’s more about sending a message on mass immigration than entertainment. The movie was okay. The message was spot on.

You know, I came across a Tim Pool video. He speculated what might make bank for the movie is not production quality, but the reaction to stifle the message, garnering interest.

Makes sense.

Armie Hammer is the great grandson of Armand Hammer, the late oil baron.

On your advice, I did and I was. Man, I can’t believe I just sat all the way through a Boll film and not feel disgusted, repulsed, or bored. He actually told a coherent story!

The message speaks for itself. No wonder Germany banned it. Surprised it didn’t go straight to FreeVee or Tubi.

“”The message was spot on.””

***

Which is exactly why the leftists want it banned. Can’t have people thinking about how things “should or shouldn’t be” under leftists’ in control. Truth does hurt those that can’t get next to it.

I’m glad to hear it! I liken it to Mad Max:Fury Road. You’re just dropped into an insane world with little back story and expected to hang on. Fast pacing, no wasted moments, no character development, no moral quandaries, just violent catharsis of Uwe’s self-insert as a force of nature. Mind you, Uwe’s just defending the permissive Euro liberal democratic value system, but it’s a start.
