We’ve come to a point in time when the men and women who created the golden era of rock music are in their late 70s or 80s.
Many have died or retired, but some remain – plowing away as best as they can.
This applies to 81-year-old British rock icon Rod Stewart, still touring and raising controversies.
About a week ago, Stewart had to cancel a show at the last minute over health issues, only to be seen attending a World Cup match and indulging in alcoholic beverages.
Now, the former ‘Faces’ star was forced to pause his Friday night concert in Utah and breathe oxygen from a tank onstage, explaining afterward that he nearly fainted.

I haven’t worked a day in 10 years and I’m 72. I got tired of his concerts after he went commercial-late 70’s I believe. If people still go to see him I say go for it. I won’t be one of them.
Rod Stewart - Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? I couldn’t resist the temptation.

If you want my body *gasp and you think I’m sex *gasp y
C’mon baby *gasp let me know.
I wonder IF he still sings:
“if you want my body, and you think I’m sexy”
I think its great that these musicians in the 80 or so age group keep going. Hats off to them. This is often what musicians do for as long as they can.

It’s ego....trust me
…”you made me a physical wreck…” My Legs, are giving out, My Legs make me scream and shout”
Willie Nelson is 93 and still touring.
Kayfabe, IMO
Looks like we may have another person Keith Richards’ outlives.
What should have been a comedy skit about aging rocker becomes real life.
If I didn’t know better, I’d say Richards musta made a deal with the devil.
An arrythmia is really common with jet lag, alcohol, and altitude. Sounds like he had all three.
“Oi! Dat is da filt’y part o’ Norf ‘Avershanbedfordshire-on-da-Thames wot I grew up in! Oll recreated in lovin’ detail! Ah, da memories!”
I saw Chicago and the Doobie Brothers not long ago, it was enjoyable and they still sounded good.
My biggest take away from it was where I was sitting I could see a beer stand.
Fastest lines I ever saw, not a single I.D. was asked for or shown.
damn.....he looks like a cadaver.
I saw him back in ‘82 .
