While political pressure mounts on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer amid rising tensions within the Labour Party, attention inside 10 Downing Street has unexpectedly shifted to an unlikely figure who seems completely unbothered by the unfolding drama - Larry the Cat.
As Starmer faced a day of political turbulence, marked by the resignation of multiple junior ministers and increasing pressure from within his own party, Larry was seen casually roaming around Downing Street, repeatedly appearing near the iconic black door while media crews gathered outside.
The situation took a humorous turn when the cat’s official X account commented on the unfolding crisis.
“Whether Starmer stays or goes we can all agree that me being fed is the most important thing," Larry posted.

That’s cute. I hope he’ll stay well taken care of. 🐈

I used to worry about Larry roaming outside, until I learned it’s a gated ‘neighborhood’ with limited access...
No self respecting cat respects gates and limited access.
Fences are for dogs, not cats.
In the 70s Downing Street had gates but were mostly left open for the public. I have walked in front of #10 Downing on the street. Sadly the reality of terrorism makes this impossible today.
There would be on policeman by the door. I am sure their were many I did not see such as the "tourist" standing next to me in civilian cloths. Young, fit, and observant.
But fences keep cars from killing Larry.
I’ve been tickled by the videos I’ve seen of Larry waiting at the door of No. 10, and expecting the next visitor to let him in.
He knows he’s a privileged cat and demands his due.
Fences don’t do a bit of good in stopping mortars.
