The water usage can be debated but The pollution and infrasound effect on humans and animals is not debatable. These data centers are making humans and animals sick and this is just the beginning of these monstrosity’s. A whole lot of people are doing studies now on the true effects of everything data centers do to their surrounding neighbors. We will know so much more in the coming years.

1. The Goldman Sachs Insight Report on Chinese AI infrastructure spending.
2. The International Energy Agency (IEA) World Energy Investment Report, which details exact data center grid power spikes.
3. The Stanford University AI Index, which provides an independent, third-party tally of global physical data center counts.

China is heavily invested in all our companies that are making AI. They WANT us to have the data centers, because they’ll get all the benefits and none of the problems.
Keep in mind 2 things:
the data centers in the report are the tip of the iceberg. That’s from cloud stuff. We’re building 10 times as many of them for AI.
And agriculture gives us food to eat. So far all AI is giving us is plagiarized nudie pics.

THE “DIVERTED WATER USED BY DATA CENTERS IS GETTING CHEMICALS ADDED TO KEEP THEIR PIPES FROM FAILING. THEN THAT CHEMICALLY TREATED WATER IS EXPECTED TO BE PUT “BACK INTO OUR AQUIFER”.
DOESN’T SOUND GOOD TO ME.
