Mayweather currently owes millions, including $7 million in back taxes, $1 million in back child support, and unpaid bills concerning a luxury Manhattan apartment and private plane services. The retailer tried to settle this particular matter (the watch and the bounced check) quietly, but without any luck.
When is America going to stop giving a damn about bastards like this guy? Is being black an excuse his kind of irresponsibility? It's racist to think blacks are genetically irresponsible. Something is really wrong with our permissive attitude that cultures this irresponsibility. It's ruining an entire segment of our society.

Didn’t the merchant have instant check? Hell, we could verify if funds were currently available on a check when I worked with Autozone over 30 years ago. Obviously it didn’t work if there were other uncashed checks out there, but it worked to at least let us know it wouldn’t bounce that day.
I don’t know what is a bigger crime - bouncing a check for a $200,000 watch or charging $200,000 for a watch.
Buying one IMO.

A couple years ago on our local NFL team - a player bought his fiancé some $750K earrings for their upcoming wedding.
They later broke up before the marriage
I recall seeing that he was able to sell the earrings (after fighting with his girl and her lawyers) for $150K
