Sean Penn will direct a new film about the January 6 riot set to star Bradley Cooper.
According to Deadline, the star, who recently won his third Oscar, will bring what’s been described as a “passion project” to the screen and act as both writer and director.
The as-yet-untitled drama will follow the life of a police officer who gets mixed up in the violent insurrection of 2021. Cooper is reportedly in talks to play him.
The film has also been referred to as an “unexpected story about friendship” that will be made in collaboration with the real-life subject whose identity is being kept hidden for now.
Penn attended a January 6 House committee hearing in 2022, describing himself as “just another citizen” who was there to observe.
“I think we all saw what happened on January 6, and now we’re looking to see if justice comes on the other side of it,” he said.
Penn has also previously referred to Donald Trump as “an enemy of mankind” and a “narcissist”.

Just as with Watergate, Hollywood will conspire to make sure the Leftist version of January 6 is what is remembered, rather than the true version.

A fact based movie about Jan 6 could be interesting, but not a propaganda hatchet job type movie .

Know someone who grew up with Robyn Wright Penn. Said she used to be a nice normal gal until she married him. Ended up with drug problems, psychological problems was hospitalized due them supposedly and was never the same.
I’ve also heard Penn is mixed up in international child trafficking.
The good news is the movie might not ever get made because Penn looks like a corpse due to the drink, drugs and cigarettes and mat not last much longer.
Already odds on favorite to win best picture of the year.

Warner Bros will make this movie but Paramount is supposed to buy them out so maybe Larry Ellison will cancel it.
