Assuming that the people knew about the problem and did the repairs with a plan and that the problem will become fixed, we all know how the media works.

The media will milk this for all they can, try to imprint every mind in America with it for as long as they can, until the fiz takes hold, and then as it turns out to all have been false and that the current appearance is a temporary part of the process, the media will turn away from the pool entirely, the media will have milked the story for every drop out of that they could within the time they had to work with it.

The media is putting a cloud over all of the long overdue repairs and maintenance that is being done in DC, there is no positive media culture buildup to our nation’s 250th birthday.
