The latest batch of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) reports from the Department of War includes an incident in 2022 in which five members of the U.S. Army reportedly saw an object shaped like a potato hovering over Cheyenne Mountain.
The most recent batch of evidence, which was released on Friday, June 12, was the third such release since President Donald Trump directed his administration to fully disclose what it knows about alien life and mysterious objects in the sky.
One incident within the release took place in Colorado Springs in 2022, when a former U.S. Army intelligence officer, along with four other members of his unit, observed a UAP over Cheyenne Mountain. The witnesses were reportedly walking out of an office building shortly before noon on a clear February morning, and described no clouds in the sky.
“The object was ‘potato’ shaped with distinct edges and appeared to look painted in a creamy/whitish opalescent color. It was somewhat translucent with a slight shimmer,” states a partially redacted report by the FBI detailing the 2022 sighting. “The object was made up of what can best be described as articulating fish scales or panels that were non-symmetrical, non-overlapping, and irregular shaped. The object itself was perfectly still, but each panel on the object shifted in slow waves starting at different points of origin, but at the same time.”
