Two years ago, I rented a Tesla Model 3 for 1 day in order to drive it for the first time in my life and make a Tesla review from the perspective of a petrolhead. I ended up actually enjoying the driving itself, I hated the user interface, the buttonless screens and probably most of all I hated the fact that the car was constantly beeping. When I went over the speed limit, when I changed lanes without signaling, when I got too close to the edge of the road and so on. After fiddling with the screen and the menus I managed to turn off almost all the beeping sources except one. There was one beep that stayed until the end and I couldn’t do anything about it. The car would beep randomly from time to time without any associated message or warning on the screen. I returned the car without figuring out what it is. ... I was foolish enough to believe that’s a Tesla-only thing because Tesla’s are obnoxious tech-obsessed cars for tech-obsessed people who actually hate driving. I thought Toyota is an old-school car brand and there’s no way it would beep and annoy me like that. Well, I was wrong, beeping and backseat driving is not a Tesla thing, it’s now an industry thing

You did have to worry about a broken arm.
The way speed limits change so much, how does the car know when you are over the limit???
The GV80 dash has a speed sign!
GPS location linked to a road speed DB, plus they read the roadside speed signs.
That and as mentioned, the car companies sell the collected data, speed much? Your insurance company will jack up your rates...

Might want to upgrade the cooling system; current traffic patterns are slower and hard on the old cooling systems.
You may want to start working on improving your RT, there are websites for practice. Because the ol’ drum brakes aint what they used to be...

At first, it seemed unbelievable but after thinking about it, it makes sense, the more Full Self driving cars on the road, the safer the road will become.
The more you remove from the roads, intoxicated drivers, drivers who are fatigued, drives distracted using their phone, the safer the roads will become.

I held onto stick for many years, but working in Chicago’s near north, the traffic is worse every day.
Heading home one day to the distant wilds of DuPage, I noticed one of my people roll a stop sign, with a close call!
The next day, I mentioned it at work, and someone said, Joe’s knee must be bothering him again.
An old diesel PU, he leaves it in 2nd, takes his foot off the throttle, taps the brake, then rolls on, saving his knee.
I moved to an automatic, to save my knees.

I recently bought an early 2000’s Honda for my daily commuter specifically to avoid the hyperactive electronics of a newer vehicle. The only time it beeps is if I don’t have the seatbelt fastened and it’s just one beep. It was a super low mileage one owner (little old lady) vehicle, so it feels like a new car but without the new car annoyances.
The lease on my Porsche Cayenne ends in December. My next car will either be a Tesla Y with FSD or a BMW M2 with a manual transmission. Either the car drives itself completely or I have full control over the car - no halfway measures.
I’m going to add that one to my list of one-liners. Lol!

Now my car yells at me all day. If I have a passenger who has given in to th covid shot four to six times, I’ve got that one yelling at me, too- why aren’t you using your back up camera? Why do you use Google Maps and not Apple Maps, how are we going to find the car when we want to go back home? Etc. While driving
The auto body shops here have acres of cars. They’re fat and happy
My 2024 Tacoma is a great mechanical vehicle and one of the worst pieces of software I’ve ever experienced.
I want a truck that runs on diesel, so I can convert it to run on vegetable oil when the liberals finally succeed in prohibiting the purchase and sale of all petroleum fuels.
Thank you. I really never thought of that but certainly will on my next road trip.
