This board would light up, bashing the LEO, reminding everyone that the cops are paid by US, and the cop is just a weasel.
Frankly, any sheriff who can’t keep his cool, or is easily triggered by the press, or - worse - is prone to performative press conferences, is a loser. Real men of authority can manage their emotions. Getting emotional is a feminine trait.
Yeah, the reporter was looking for attention and the case that was solved is a good one. That doesn’t change that many Sheriff Buford T. Justice’s are a step above DMV employees.
I’d make sure I drove the speed limit for a few weeks.

Your local Sheriffs departments are mostly the good guys with very rare exceptions. They are not out giving traffic tickets. They are out getting bad guys. They are your friend.
