This is just first salvo by liberals against Elon Musk and his business interests has SpaceX goes public today and likely makes him the world's first Trillionaire. If a Democrat wins the Presidency in 2028 look for them to go after Musk and attempt to hurt his businesses, with Elizabeth Warren at the front of the line. Fortunately, she failed in her attempt to get the IPO delayed, happily I was notified a couple of hours before the NASDAQ opened that Fidelity had partially filled my request to participate in the IPO at $135/share.

Plus, these IPOs are typically ONLY for rich insiders. Meaning the average schmuck does not have a change to get in on the IPO before it goes public. Only, the very high end accounts at Merrill Lynch or the other big brokerage firms would be allotted shares. These firms only gave these shares to their biggest accounts. That is because they could quadruple their investment in a day.

Very true, the average person (maybe some employees of the company do) almost never gets a shot at an IPO’s initial offering price—brokers save those for their “best” clients.
Elon must have refused her extortion attempt to squeeze him for an illegal, under-the-table payoff.

There are a lot of lower level employees of corporations that have become wealthy because of IPOs.
A friend of ours neighbor worked at Google. She was a secretary. She had a couple million in Google stock over ten years ago. If she kept it she would be a double digit millionaire today.
My wife does some dog kenneling. Only for people we know.
There is one dog that has been coming to our house since the Great Recession. Bella mostly gets dropped off by the family assistant. Occasionally by the kid. Rarely by the mom. Never by the dad. The dad has not worked for twenty years. He was one of the main investors in Sonos Speakers. When it hit he never had to work again in his life. They live a couple miles away in a multi million home. They also have condo in Boston. They travel about 50% of the time. There are some years Bella has been at our house half the year. $45/day.
