The New York Knicks‘ return to the NBA Finals has created one of the hottest ticket markets in sports history, and the prices fans paid to attend Game 3 at Madison Square Garden have left many stunned...
One fan revealed she paid an astonishing $20,000...
For many supporters, the biggest frustration is how quickly lifelong Knicks fans have been priced out of the building...
"It’s unfair to us true Knicks fans. I feel like a peasant outside the castle.”
A different fan echoed those concerns.
“I think the price of tickets is kind of outrageous. You see a lot of celebrities being able to go, and I love that. But for an average Joe like myself, and a lot of other people, it’s too expensive for us to be able to go. But, you know, it’s New York..."

Of course this is one reason why the resale market is so expensive...while one fan complains about paying $20,000 for a ticket, these celebs are paying close to $150,000 for their tickets- which drives the prices up....and watching these idiots on the sidelines is nauseating...taylor swift, whom i never knew to be a Knicks fan, made a complete ass of herself courtside...
I never understood the Swiftie fans.

That is absolutely insane! For a game? A game that I assume you can watch on TV, that is about the craziest thing I've ever heard of.
NYC or not: I do think it’s sad how middle class family activities especially father-son and father-daughter ones the way sporte are - are just, not…accessible!
ON TV, I saw Adam Sandler and Jerry Seinfeld in the stands.
its no longer a game- its now the place to be...all these idiot celebs celebrating...
I detest spike lee and i am really rooting for the knicks to lose so he is miserable...but the fact is i felt sorry for him- he is a Knicks fan all his life and a season ticket holder...during all those years the team was crappy he was sitting courtside- for decades....yet now everyone is focusing on taylor swift clowning herself at what is probably her first or second Knicks game...
that’s BS- i took my daughter to ball games for years....this is the finals which is always more expensive...and this is capitalism- they are getting what the market bares...when the team sucked you coudn’t get $50 for a ticket... the ticket prices the first two games in San Antonio were fractions- $1500 versus $20,000
I live in NY...i am not a basketball fan and i hate the Knicks...
I’ve watched less than a minute of the playoffs, most of it last night when, in 45 seconds, they showed taylor swift, spike leee, larry david and a few others...i said “enough” and turned the TV back to Everybody Loves Raymond reruns...
I didn’t see Sandler but it wouldn’t surprise me- he’s the ultimate front runner- LI guy that’s now a knicks fan and somehow is a huge fan of the NE Patriots...joke.
Don’t have that problem with the NHL Finals in Carolina.
Should go 50/50:
* 50%, go to lottery (as The Masters).
Seats at season rates.
* Final 50% seats, at the market.
You never really see celebs at NHL games and they are tough to find at other sports....celebs at BB games are the reason i also detest the LA Lakers- i was sick of the tv camera always panning to Jack Nicholson sitting courtside in the 80’s....Its funny watching these clowns argue with the referees....

Mayor Mamdani should take over the New York Knicks by eminent domain. Then charge fans just $1 per ticket.

If the Knicks are going to win this series, please let them finish the series in Game 5 in San Antonio this Saturday. I would rather not see the news medias (sports and NON-sports) talk about NY and their fans endlessly prior to a Game 6 at MSG.
