A Manhattan public school is treating parents and teachers as “separate” but equal.
The P.S. 003 Charrette School in the West Village is hosting a workshop for parents and staffers that separate them into “affinity” groups by race and ethnicity — a move slammed as discriminatory by legal experts.
“What Does it Mean to be White in a Multi-Racial Community at PS3? — How does whiteness affect the collective child experience at PS3, as well as the entire community? White-identifying PS3 community members – SIGN UP HERE,” reads the invite posted on the school’s website.
The June 16 “Listening Circles” event is being organized in partnership with a consulting firm called Liberation Spaces that promotes “equity and liberation.”
“Folks will gather on zoom with Liberation Spaces for initial guidelines, and then break out into smaller affinity groups with the facilitators based on racial identity,” reads the invitation for parents and educators.
“Bring your valuable perspective and ideas for the future of our school,” it states.
“BIPOC Folks – Educators, staff, parents and caregivers who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx/Hispanic, Asian, and other people of color – SIGN UP HERE,” it adds — while white parents and teachers are told to participate in a separate group.
The bottom of the invitation cites sources of support for the program, including an article titled “Why People of Color Need Spaces Without White People” and another headlined “Becoming an Anti-racist White Ally: How a White Affinity Group Can Help.”

They can’t see people they only see color
The BIPOCs talk about white folks the way Nazis talked about the Jews - the cause of all their misery, cheating the system, controlling all the real power, etc. etc. etc.
I suspect they have a similar plan…

Alabama Governor George C. Wallace in his 1963 inaugural address. In the speech, written by Ku Klux Klan member Asa Carter, he famously declared: “segregation now, segregation tomorrow, and segregation forever!— Wikipedia.
Some civil rights legislation is on the books which makes it illegal. However, notice how colleges and universities have held separate black only and other divided graduation ceremonies.
2026 update: Trump’s Dept. of Education prohibits federal funds to ones that segregate.
Many colleges and universities have held “affinity” graduation ceremonies such as black, Latinx, Asian, or LGBTQ+ celebrations—designed to honor the specific cultural achievements of underrepresented students alongside the school-wide commencement. February, 2020, a University of Virginia black student representative said at the university’s Multicultural Student Center: “If y’all didn’t know, this is MSC, and frankly there’s just too many white people in here, and this is a space for people of color.”
“This is a space for people of color, so just be really cognizant of the space you’re taking up because it does make some of us people of color uncomfortable when we see too many white people in here.”
“Frankly, there’s the whole university for a lot of y’all to be at, and there’s very few spaces for us so keep that in mind.”
After national controversy including the woman being threatened online, the university president made a statement condemning the harassment. He later reaffirmed that whites would be allowed in the center.
