A controversial online fundraiser for Karmelo Anthony has been shut down after his family raised some `$630,000 for legal and living expenses now that he was convicted of murder — but his family may still be able to set up a new one.
The GiveSendGo went offline Wednesday afternoon, a day after 19-year-old Anthony was convicted in a Texas courtroom of killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at an April 2025 high school track meet.
GiveSendGo – a crowd sourcing platform that differs from GoFundMe in that it allows fundraisers for criminal cases – confirmed the fundraiser closure in a statement to The Post.
But donations were still rolling after Anthony was convicted of first-degree murder — with more than $`4,000 in donations made in that time.
It remains unclear if Anthony and his family will receive that cash, as GiveSendGo typically makes fundraiser payouts three days after a donation is made.

"His family may also be able to set up a new fund if he seeks an appeal, GiveSendGo said, explaining so long as its policies are followed there would be no barrier."

Well that explains the quick decision to appeal......the whole thing makes me want to puke.

Oh well now it makes sense why they filed an appeal to get more grifting. The parents are real pricks who dont even care about their son, they made 3 million off of his crime yet they refused to get him a good lawyer, instead he had a public defender, gee if they cared SO much about their son they would have gotten him a Johnny Cochran type attorney
C’mon ... The family needs another new Escalade. The one they bought with the the GSG money a few months ago isn’t enough. Give then a break. 🙄
Goes back to the donors? Who are they?
🎶”…When the money keeps rolling in
you don’t ask how..:”🎶
I'm not a big fan of lawyers, but apparently he's a well respected private attorney.
Frustrating to see how incorrect information continues to be put out there.
“Goes back to the donors? Who are they?”
Who knows but considering an appeal keeps the grift alive it’ll probably be held until the little animals momma and daddy open another GSG account and it’ll just be transferred over.
Melo and his little knife made his mamma a lot of money.
“I’m not a big fan of lawyers, but apparently he’s a well respected private attorney”
Considering his own defense witnesses stated under oath that little animal instigated the whole thing he sure didn’t prep them thoroughly enough.....so I kinda wonder how good he really is.
Exhibit A: all white jury.
They need to hold those funds for a lawsuit filed by the Metcalf family. They deserve it. The punk doesn’t.
Oh my mistake. I saw it written on another thread and assumed it was correct
“The GiveSendGo went offline Wednesday afternoon, a day after 19-year-old Anthony was convicted in a Texas courtroom of killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at an April 2025 high school track meet.” Was he still a high school track athlete at 19?
I’m not responsible for alternative sources.....and happy belated birthday BTW. 😁
Anti-white fever they have. Time to....
Sarah, Karmelo’s attorney was NOT a public defender.
The fact still stands that the family did spend a lot the donated money on ‘stuff’ that played no part in Karmelo’s defense.
As to his appealing his conviction, as I understand it, that’s pretty much standard operating procedure.
😂👍. Thanks.
They were all just spectators that day.
Although crapmelo had other plans to shank a White boy.
Renting a $1 million home, and buying new luxury cars, with money donated specifically to help defense. That’s a problem? 😉
