Liberals Give Us Their 10 Most Convincing Arguments for Abortion

Among Americans, there remains an ever-growing divide between those who are pro-life and those who are pro-killing-their-baby. In an attempt to bridge this divide, The Babylon Bee interviewed thousands of liberals to hear their compelling reasons to murder infants. Here are the 10 most convincing liberal arguments for abortion:

Planned Parenthood gives out free cookies with every abortion: Everyone loves cookies.

The baby may develop acne as a teenager and get called "pepperoni face": Abortion is a mercy. No human being has ever survived acne.

Diapers are clogging up landfills: Unless we stop climate change now, there won't be a world for babies to be born into.

With two liberals living together, there's already enough crying in the house: This makes logical sense. The baby may be a cisgender, straight male: Bringing more of those into the world must be avoided at all costs.

Children require affection and resources better spent on a cat: Mr. Fuzziface demands attention.

Everyone should have the right to commit murder if it makes life more convenient: There's nothing more important than making things easier for yourself.

Animals kill their young all the time, which means it's natural: Just be like an animal.

Having a baby may prevent you from showering yourself with love and attention: No way.

Here is another outrageous and preposterous Babylon Bee article. Surely Democrats would not have anything to do with killing babies even though their preferred pronouns are liberal and progressive?

By a 220-210 margin, the House of Representatives passed the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, with only one Democrat voting in favor. So, with only one exception within their party these Democrat legislators established a line of defense for abortion that included those born alive despite attempted abortion. At that time a dismal fate in the Senate was guaranteed.

According to the logic for voting against the bill, an infant emerging from an abortion procedure, unlike those babies residing in intensive care units, was considered by Democrats to be medical waste, and not a person. The medical personnel in attendance were not only absolved from any criticism in failing to provide care but instead must intervene to murder the baby. Read the bill and/or the excerpt to see if that is not the most reasonable interpretation.

H.R. 26: Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act

Congress finds as follows:

(1) If an abortion results in the live birth of an infant, the infant is a legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States and entitled to all the protections of such laws.

(2) Any infant born alive after an abortion or within a hospital, clinic, or other facility has the same claim to the protection of the law that would arise for any newborn, or for any person who comes to a hospital, clinic, or other facility for screening and treatment or otherwise becomes a patient within its care.

Any health care practitioner present at the time the child is born alive shall—

(A) exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age; and

(B) following the exercise of skill, care, and diligence required under subparagraph (A), ensure that the child born alive is immediately transported and admitted to a hospital.

The debate around these bills reminded me of the practice by ancient pagan societies of the “exposure of infants”. They were abandoned to weather or predators. Poor people could be rid of extra mouths to feed, and especially those of baby girls who were also dowry liabilities. They could be rid of those with imperfect physical makeup or parentage. The practice seems to have resulted from utility and did not have any spiritual significance. Kenneth Scott Latourette in his history of Christianity noted the practice ended where the faith took hold.

Now this major political party, representing half the people living in this country, affirms a similar practice, but in the face of 21st century scientific progress, which could save these children.

The Left sells the lie that both sex and abortion are something women are forced into, in order to blame everyone other than the women themselves for their actions.

The abortion rate today is similar to the infant mortality rate of the past. Women have aborted an eighth of the world population.

Women fight so hard for abortion because it is in line with women's instincts: Women abort the children of men they don't want to mate with. She'll keep the baby of Chad, Pookie, or Ray Ray because she considers them alpha males but will abort the baby of Brad the friendzone orbiter, boyfriend, or husband.

A surprising number of men find out that they're raising children that are not their own. Many U.S. States have assumed parentage and statutes of limitations regarding paternity testing. Many states require informed consent of all parties, including children old enough to understand the implications, before the testing is conducted. In some entire countries such as Germany and France, DNA testing is outright illegal because their socialist governments know the truth will collapse the social order.
