House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries on Sunday dodged key questions about scandal-scarred Maine Senate hopeful Graham Platner, saying the fellow Dem and horny oyster farmer has to answer for himself.
Platner, who is married and faces a primary-election race Tuesday, was hit early on with revelations of a Nazi-linked tattoo and cheating-by-sext. Then last week came allegations of deeply disturbing behavior toward female partners and him harboring fantasies about raping home intruders.
“I haven’t followed these allegations closely, but what I have said is that violence against women in any way, shape or form is unacceptable,” Jeffries (D-NY) told Fox News’ “The Sunday Briefing,” referring to some of the explosive accusations against Platner that grabbed national headlines.
“It’s a red line, and nobody should cross that,” Jeffries said. “Any accuser who comes forward has to be treated with dignity and respect.”
Pressed on the host of Platner’s other scandals, the Brooklyn Dem demurred.
“He’s going to have to speak for himself, and that’s what any candidate, particularly in a high-profile race, is going to be called upon to do,” Jeffries said.
The New York Times detailed last week’s disturbing accusations from several former girlfriends that Platner was very toxic toward them during their time together, with one alleging his twisted rape threats.
Ex-gal pal Lyndsey Fifield claimed that the Dem pol yanked her out of a cab during an argument and later “twisted her arm behind her back” before locking her in a bedroom for a night.

‘MeToo’ Democrats like AOC and Warren mum on Graham Platner sex scandal — while Schumer plots damage control
Lefty warrior Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Queens/Bronx) — who once revealed she was a survivor of sex assault — had nothing to say about married Platner’s alleged physical abuse of girlfriends, his sexting other women while married, or his fantasies about raping intruders.
“I have to read up on this latest reporting,” the Squad member waffled, when asked about Platner. “I don’t want to speak until I’ve dug into what’s out there.”
Lefty Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) minimized questions as to whether party leaders should step in and “referee” the mess involving Platner — who was accused in a New York Times story of physical abuse and locking a former girlfriend in a bedroom.
“Referee what? That’s up to the people of Maine,” Warren told The Post, days after she joined a meeting of party elders who grilled Platner about any further potential revelations.

We should refer to them as “National Socialists” once in a while.

Yes, correct. That’s the purpose of a political party - gain state power to reward your people and punish your enemies.
The Democrats in the 1920s - 1950s could certainly be considered a variety of national socialists - but they converted to international socialism and then just typical decayed political corruption.
The people want nationalism, and they want socialism. Maybe it needs a new name, like “social nationalism”.
Soul-searching is not a prominent characteristic of Democrat Socialists, perhaps their souls are much too small to be easily discerned.
But somewhere down there, a little stirring must take place, else why any of them even deign to raise a defense, feeble though it may be?

I thought democratic women (especially the AWFULs) opposed “toxic masculinity”…….oh well, I guess not—as long as he is a democrat.
