Why not? This issue has been a “thing” for decades, and that is the subject of the this writer’s particular research.
What is the issue?
‘Cause Asians are smarter than everyone, Latino and blacks make up the bottom of the field as usual as the white race is the middle average. AT least thats what I get out of that racist chart.
One part family life, one part the instilled ambition to be better.
Ben Carson, a “black” man and former brain surgeon, grew up in poverty with a single-mom. But she was a Godly woman who raised her sons right, and gave to them, instilled in them, the ambition to be better. His genetics did not hurt him.
The third part of the answer is it’s not genetics.
Immigrants of all sorts come with the ambition that they have to push themselves and their kids to get ahead here. On average most legal immigrants do not sit back and rely on average ambition to do well. They figure that will not be enough.
About 88% of Asians in the U.S. are 1st and 2nd generation immigrants.
Bringing that up only rouses the rabble. Because its true.

Asians are not smarter than Whites, if that was the case that whole continent would not be the F’ed up S-hole that it is. We just have a dis-proportionate number of the smart ones here who decided to leave because it is a F’ed up S-hole

Not quite. The highest average IQ’s in the world are blue-eyed people at 115 iirc, a slice you will rarely see published. “Asians” is very broad term and it is a lie that they are “smarter” than everyone else. Look to the interior of China and the big city slums for that reality check.

Yes. And there are historical reasons that culture developed particularly over the centuries in the Jewish diaspora in Europe, and European antisemitism played a role in that as well.
Exactly. Over a billion Chinese, and the smartest of them emigrated long ago.
I know how a woke liberal would explain this:
