Liberal Viewers LOSE THEIR MINDS Over CNN Anchor DROPPING TRUTH BOMB On Democrats LOSING CIVIL WAR!
YouTube ^ | 05/30/2026 | Black Conservative Perspective

Posted on 05/30/2026 12:37:26 PM PDT by SmokingJoe

This video from Black Conservative Perspective discusses a segment from CNN in which host Michael Smerconish interviewed Purple Heart recipient Teddy Daniels regarding Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner.

Key takeaways from the video include:

Controversial Candidate: The video highlights that Graham Platner has faced intense scrutiny for a past Nazi-symbol chest tattoo (which he kept for 18 years), controversial online comments regarding rape, and disparaging remarks made about combat veterans, including the claim that an army veteran did not "deserve to live" (0:00-1:10, 5:43-6:48).

Democratic Party Criticism: The creator argues that the Democratic Party is facing a "Civil War" and is being overtaken by far-left, "woke progressive" candidates. He criticizes prominent Democrats like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders for supporting Platner despite his controversial history, suggesting the party values political power and stopping Donald Trump over character (1:17-4:50, 9:49-10:25).

Media Analysis: The video commends Michael Smerconish for "calling balls and strikes" and performing "real journalism" by challenging Platner on his past. The host also defends himself against liberal critics who labeled him a "MAGA hack" for highlighting these issues, pointing out that his program covers a wide range of topics objectively (7:14-8:06, 11:40-12:49).

Ideological Concerns: The creator posits that the modern Democratic establishment is enabling radical Marxism by failing to disavow such candidates, asserting that these voters prioritize a shared radical agenda above other moral considerations (10:26-11:39, 13:20-14:13).

I dislike the casual use of “civil war” in conversation on TV.

Prefer “the first Civil War” meaning the US 1860s.

Good, non-woke historian H.W. Brands book Our First Civil War: Patriots and Loyalists in the American Revolution (2021)
is good but adds to the confusion.

We could call this “internecine fighting” instead.

For decades our side has dreamed of the Dems having a split. It never happened. They vote in total lockstep conformity on all the major legislation year after year.

The dangerous split is in the GOP. Libertarians, Vance vs Rubio, RINOs, always Trump faction (me) vs. foot draggers and fickle supporters or traitors. Nail biting over major bills which should be quickly supported and passed.

A Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice just quit the Democratic Party over its tolerance of antisemitism - and Michael argues the party's blind spot traces directly to its obsession with hating Donald Trump. Then, Teddy Daniels joins - the combat veteran smeared by Senate candidate Graham Platner

Yup.
Kept that Nazi tattoo for 20 years.
Only removed it last September when he wanted to run for US Senate.

The RINOs are the problem. Democrats in Republican drag. Hell, there are articles about Democrats quietly running as Republicans.
IMHO, the real problem is the permanent bureaucracy that uses bribes and blackmail as leverage. Tim Burchett has spoken on what happens multiple times.
Blanche is at least hitting some of the corruption, but a lot of it is low hanging fruit. But when it comes to a Comey, or a Clinton, or a Mark Elias, or Norm Eisen, or Podesta...nothing. Because they're being protected.

Disbanding USAID was a big step, but not enough.

We're dealing with a Mafia of sorts. And its going to require mafia solutions, as distasteful as that sounds. The other alternative is no less palatable, and probably worse.

But, Platner is a “good Nazi”.

Just like the SPLC funded “Nazis”.

Historian Barbara Tuchman called the Revolution the “First World War” in her excellent book “The First Salute.”

Good points.

We have to choose between the distasteful and the less palatable, as you said.

“suggesting the party values political power and stopping Donald Trump over character”

That’s not a suggestion, that’s the ABSOLUTE TRUTH.

Smerconish has always been a left of center rat apologist but even he had to point out some of the obvious with this guy.

I remember relatively not long ago, 20 years or so, a Black Democrat Congressman (eastern US) bragging how the Democrats passed the Civil Rights Act of 1965, referred to as the Voting Rights act sometimes.

Democrats did no such thing, they fought it tooth and nail. Gov. Wallace (AL), famous for blocking the schoolhouse door rather than allow black children in was most definitely a Democrat.

The term yellow-dog Democrat referred to US southerners who would vote for a yellow dog if he was the Democrat nominee.

I have had many Democrats tell me that the two parties “switched places” some years ago.

Abraham Lincoln (Republican) freed the slaves — the Democrats now deserve the credit for this.
Democrats founded the KKK — we must now blame the Republicans for this.
Democrats passed Jim Crow laws — we must now blame the Republicans for this.
George Wallace and segregation? Might as well say he was a Republican.
Civil Rights Act? Best thing the Democrats ever did — even though they didn’t do it.

The Democrats live in a miraculous world where they always win and they are always the Good Guys.
