I love to watch those races because they go so incredibly fast but I don’t watch to see the crashes. I know they are dangerous, but to my knowledge, no one is forced to ride.
Leftist do-gooders have been trying for decades to shut it down, but so far, they have not succeeded. That’s one reason to support the races.
My guess is the races pour a lot of money into the island communities.
Officially, it’s not a part of the UK, despite its proximity which may be why it has survived for all these years.
