On par with the North West 200 (Northern Ireland), Manx GP (the August meeting at IOM for amateur riders, but officials may have sidecar races with professionals allowed since their IoM TT races were scratched), and China’s Macau Motorcycle GP, which is just as dangerous as the IoMTT. Only one MotoGP world champion won Macau.

These races can produce extremely painful deaths.

I love to watch those races because they go so incredibly fast but I don’t watch to see the crashes. I know they are dangerous, but to my knowledge, no one is forced to ride.

Leftist do-gooders have been trying for decades to shut it down, but so far, they have not succeeded. That’s one reason to support the races.

My guess is the races pour a lot of money into the island communities.

Officially, it’s not a part of the UK, despite its proximity which may be why it has survived for all these years.

For comparison, 16 people have been killed at the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain, since official record-keeping began in 1910.

Of course, at that event, hundreds are injured annually…

“ is this motorcycle or car racin? Is that the really dangerous road race?”

Motorcycle, and it is dangerous! It’s worth it to check it out on YouTube. Unbelievable.

The sidecar racing is especially wild. It’s been canceled for this year, though.

To: technically right

I’ve watched at the Sulby straight, but I prefer the Creg—you can get a great view of the riders bombing down the hill from Kate’s Cottage and then slowing to make the turn...
