Chehel Sotun is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Isfahan, Iran. The palace was completed in 1647 during the Safavid era. It is known for its twenty columns, wall paintings, mirror work, and wooden decorations.

In the course of the recent conflict, the Governor's Office building located several hundred meters from the palace was struck. No direct hit occurred on the palace itself. However, shockwaves from the nearby strike caused observable damage to the structure.

It did happen. World War 1 and 2. Lost many old historical sites and buildings. The world was already screaming for a lot of other bigger reasons.

Nobody in the Muslim world screamed when much of European historic structures were destroyed in WWII.

This is simply pandering.

Most people cannot cognitively understand what Iran was trying to do. They wanted a three layer military program, with nukes being a first response to do maximum damage and then drones and missiles following up.

It would have meant that we would have had to resort to nukes and lay waste to the entire country before we did our own missiles and drones and whatever else.

Who screamed when the Buddhas of Bamiyan statues, carved in the 6th century, were destroyed by the Taliban in 2001?

What about when the Taliban (or Al Qaida) blew up the 2000 year old Buddhist statues? Muslims don’t care about ancient relics. It’s part of their DNA. Islamist should never be allowed into the USA.

And how do you know this thing that most people "cannot cognitively understand?"

“In the course of the recent conflict, the Governor’s Office building located several hundred meters from the palace was struck.” Somebody evidently didn’t like the governor all that much. Too bad about the palace.

I would think that it would be a small leap to understand when Iran already had the missiles and the drones and all they needed were the nukes and they had the nuke material. They had the missile capability to deliver nukes as far as Europe.

I do believe we mishandled Iraq and Afghanistan, but I don’t think we are wary enough of Iran.

No one screamed.

Headlines about “the world” are aspirational midwittery.

There is no political, economic, or social community called “the world”. There are nations, and races, with differing values, interests, and goals. Often, they fight wars with each other over those things.

He stated the Governor's Office building was bombed, without showing any of the damage to that building. Could it be that building was being used by the IRGC?

The cracks in the mural depicting a battle form an outline similar to the windows located in the far wall. Could there have once been a window there that wasn't properly filled in? This is an older picture of the mural showing the same cracks. The cracks were already there, so the bomb didn't cause them.

War is war. Make it horrible and destroy what is beautiful. Then, and only then, will you have less war.

So it was almost damaged? Or it was slightly damaged? It could take entire hours to repair. Oh the humanity! Try something else IRGC. After listening to this clown on YouTube, I think that the only solution is to drop a Daisy Cutter on the structure and put this guy out of his misery. It’s the only humane thing to do.
