Kyle Busch's cause of death revealed: severe pneumonia, sepsis

Kyle Busch died of pneumonia leading to sepsis, according to a statement provided by the Busch family on Saturday morning.

"The medical evaluation provided to the Busch Family concluded that severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications,” the family said in a statement. "The Family asks for continued understanding and privacy during this difficult time."

Busch, 41, died on Thursday after a brief illness. On Wednesday, he began suffering a medical emergency at the General Motors Charlotte Technical Center in Concord, North Carolina. An unidentified male at the scene called 911, according to a recording obtained by TMZ, saying Busch was suffering “shortness of breath, very hot, thinks he’s going to pass out and is producing a little bit of blood — coughing up some blood.”

Busch was taken to a Charlotte hospital, per the Associated Press, and on Thursday morning his family and Richard Childress Racing announced he would miss this weekend’s Coca-Cola 600 because of an unspecified “severe illness.” At 5:40 p.m. ET on Thursday afternoon, NASCAR announced publicly that Busch had died, shocking the racing community.

i had pneumonia a few years back- at first thought it was just a ‘bad cold’. My breathing wasn’t bad (I’ve had pretty bad bronchitis before and have asthma- so I know when it’s tiem to head ot hospital for breathing issues), so i didn’t think much of it till one morning i got up walked into living room and my legs gave out- just collapsed- family insisted i go to hospital so i did- collapsed again at hospital- it was weird- never had that happen before-

But long story short- at least in my case i didn’t know it was as bad as it was potentially- I felt awful sure, but have had bad flues before and thought it was just a flu- so i didn’t think i needed hospitalization until the leg collapse

He also “Played the bade cop” part in nascar- He played it up=- it was a schtick- Nascar pushed the ‘bad boy’ meme with him to create drama and build ‘rivalries’ not unlike boxing and mma etc did and does- His driving however was kinda reckless at times-

“I’m sick of hearing about Kyle Bush. He was a jerk as a driver.”

While I agree with you, respectfully, now is not the time.

Dead people don't drive like jerks. In fact, most don't drive at all.

It's a puzzle, isn't it?

Even though many reliably vote democrat year after year most never leave the crypt to drive around the neighborhood.

He also “Played the bad cop” part in nascar-

So did Dale Earnhardt and probably others before him. I began following NASCAR when a brash young California kid named Jeff Gordon started in Winston Cup. I always resented how Earnhardt and his fans treated Jeff. When he retired, I quit on the sport and have never got back into it.

I put a $1,000 bucks or so into a tiny company stock (Cytosorbents Corp.) about 8 years back that has a blood filtration system that reduces inflammatory proteins.

Yikes, that stock is down 96% since 8 years ago.

It’s occasionally a thing with men. I have to agree with you on this. Just go.

Of course.

Any successful competitor is going to have enemies, people who hate him for beating them or their team. Growing up and being an adult means you can look back at that mindset you used to have as a child and smile in an embarrassed way at how you used to be.

When you get older you realize there is sports, and there is real life. Sports is a lot of fun, but it isn’t real life.

Like I said, there are cases where some athlete is a stone-cold dick, but...most of the time, they aren’t. They are just competing and living life.
