I hope for their sake they can produce it for, like, thirty grand or thereabouts so they break even at the box office. LOL

It's about the purposeful Marxist strategy of hijacking and destroying the stories that unite us as a culture and as a nation.

A “live action” Betty Boop?
Seriously - that is not needed, necessary, etc. regardless of the race swap issue - which just makes it all the more bizarre.

I’m just waiting for a live action version of Fat Albert, starring John Goodman.

Betty Boop entered the public domain a year or two ago, so anyone can do anything with it now.

Helen Kane. I think Max Fleischer used this very photo.

This is NOT a swap. It is more like revealing a truth.

At least a decade ago, Matt Damon was on a tv show in which a handful of actors was being coached by Damon and others, to audition for a part. When the winner, who was black, was announced, Damon objected, stating that another candidate was the clear winner. He was immediately rebuffed, being told, no, this is who we (the producers) are choosing. That was around the time DEI was becoming a trend. Even an actor of Damon’s caliber had no say over the politics of DEI. It’s only gotten much worse since then. It is absurd.

This is just stupid. Why in the hell should racism be injected to just a cartoon character of years ago? She was Betty Boop and funny. Enc of story, please.
