A historic New York City lesbian bar is canceling the 'majority' of its famous Pride events due to noise complaints from its posh neighbors.
Ginger's Bar, the oldest lesbian bar in Brooklyn, is located in the lavish neighborhood of Park Slope, known for its gorgeous brownstones and woke politics.
The establishment puts on a variety of LGBTQ-friendly events throughout the year, including its annual Pride month celebrations, which attract massive crowds.
However this year, Ginger's announced it will no longer be hosting its annual Pride month DJ events due to complaints from its ritzy neighbors, sparking outrage among its fans.
'Due to ongoing noise concerns in the neighborhood, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the majority of our DJ events during Pride this year,' a statement on Instagram read.
'As much as we love turning up the music and creating space for queer joy, we also want to remain respectful of the neighborhood we have called home for the past 26 years, and our space that has been a neighborhood bar for over 100 years.'
Instead, the bar encouraged patrons to participate in other Pride month events and be on the lookout for its upcoming calendar.
'With plenty of other events to look forward to, including our annual Brooklyn Pride celebration on June 13th, we’re confident vibes will be as high as ever,' the bar's owners wrote.

Gee, what a shame!🙄
A parking lot full of Subarus and the overwhelming smell of flannel.
Rumor has it all the Vibrators running at once set off a Sympathetic reaction cracking the concrete sidewalks and foundations.
Playing those Indigo Girls albums too loud.
Oh no, how horrible./sarc
Isn't that where they end up killin' each other?
I’m sure the place is a favorite with tour guides.
Sounds like a cover story for low attendance due to concerns of threats from mid-eastern cultures who don't embrace lesbianism.
From photos I’ve seen, many of those old homes and duplexes are very close together, similar to the old Victorian homes seen in San Francisco. Noise knows no gender. Loud is loud.
If it wasn’t a ritz neighborhood the lesbian event would have gone on as scheduled.
And those neighbors that complained are all liberals. Ha, ha!
“gorgeous” and “lesbian” shouldn’t even be in the same paragraph...
What are they gonna do with all the leftover tuna?
