Lily Collins is set to play Audrey Hepburn in a film on the screen icon and the making of her 1961 classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s...

With Dickinson‘s Alena Smith aboard to adapt, the film is based on Sam Wasson’s bestselling book :Fifth Avenue, 5 A.M.: Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Dawn of the Modern Woman."....With a cast of characters including Truman Capote, Edith Head, director Blake Edwards, and, of course, Hepburn herself...

One of the defining figures of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Hepburn won an Oscar for Roman Holiday and went on to star in additional classics like Sabrina and Funny Face before coming around to Breakfast at Tiffany’s...based on Truman Capote’s novella, which cemented her as a global fashion and cultural icon...

Her character, Holly Golightly, is a young New York socialite who becomes interested in a young man new to her apartment building, only for her past to threaten to come between the two. Nominated for five Oscars, with Hepburn competing for Best Actress, the film won two, in Score and Song, and entered the U.S. National Film Registry in 2012...

Currently, Collins can be seen starring in Netflix’s hit romantic dramedy Emily in Paris...

And I said, “What about Breakfast at Tiffany’s?”
She said, “I think I remember the film and
As I recall, I think we both kinda liked it”
And I said, “Well, that’s the one thing we’ve got”

I can’t believe they passed up the opportunity to cast Stacy Abrams who looks just like Audrey Hepburn.

Hollywood’s cannibalism of its own past classics continues. Sometimes the “making of” genre works - THE OFFER is interesting because there was actual drama in the making of THE GODFATHER. This one sounds like a lot more of a stretch.

Originally, Gregory Peck was supposed to have sole billing in Roman Holiday, but he was so impressed with Audrey that he went to the producers halfway through filming and demanded that she get billing. When they asked why, he said because she was going to win the Academy Award. And she did.

They were lifelong friends, with Peck acting has her mentor early in her caree. At her memorial service in 1993 he read her favorite poem, “Unending Love” by Rabindranath Tagore.

Both very decent people.

Deep Blue Something’s been doing concerts lately - and they just had a live version of that song.

Who the hell would want such an impossible job?

She has the neck and jaw line, and they can fake the eyebrows, but those eyes? Never! Then there’s that subtle bemusement.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had to look it up. She's married to Charlie McDowell, son of Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen.

One of the most classically beautiful women ever. Although. Cigarettes are absolutely disgusting.

Indy films on YouTube or Tubi free streaming are all I ever watch. Big release movies have been garbage for years. Last popcorn fluff I saw on the big screen was The Expendables which was quite fun because they celebrated the tough guy genre. I am friends with one of the silent actors in one of the awful unwatchable Marvel universe franchises. Oh the things he says. Probably the most profitable and successful franchises of all time but they are all crap because the fan boys, young and old, flock to anything with “zhe man vs derp man” is in the title.

I admit though. I really enjoyed the first two Batman movies by Nolan. The first two Keaton Batman’s are my favorite. (The rest were crap). I was very surprised how well they did with Wonderwoman. But that’s DC.

Joker was interesting. Very dark and sad. But enjoyable. The second with Lady Gaga (barf) was dumb up until you realized the plot twist at the very end in the jail cell when Fleck is stabbed. (Hint hint... the laughter. Fleck was not “THE” Joker).

The first batch of X men, origins, and Logan, were excellent. Dirty. Gritty. Violent. Misanthropic. ‘Logan’ was downright apocalyptic in a good way. Like “The Road” meets super villains. The X-men franchise knew how to humanize a comic book genre in movie form.

Deadpool. Absolute crap.

The Avengers franchise (the most profitable popcorn bunch) is garbage. Just stupid. BUT. It has made them billions

At least they didn’t cast Dylan Mulvaney in the role.
