Since when did the Republican Party give up on ending Obamacare? When MCCain was doing what Massie is now and cast the vote that saved it? We killed a lot of subsidies. It’s sunsetting now.
Fiscal responsibility? So, we just let the Democrats spend all the money and buy all the votes. You have to get rid of all the RINOs and dominate the Democrats before you have a hope of getting spending under control. Get the cart in front of the horse and you get neither.
2. The “subsidies” you describe were not part of the original ACA. They are COVID-era subsidies. If they didn’t have a sunset provision written into the law, they’d still be there — even with the GOP in control of Congress.
3. The GOP removed all language related to a balanced budget from its platform. It has spent money like never before. You can’t possibly keep a straight face while pretending that the GOP is the party of fiscal responsibility.
Yes, not a single Republican Senator voted for Obamacare and only one House member did so.
John McCain, who hated Donald Trump as much as any Trump Deranged democrat today, did indeed vote to save Bammy-Care to spite Trump.
I shouldn’t be, but I am, amazed how Congress regularly succumbs to personal feuds against the greater interests of our nation.
