Alec Baldwin hits back at Elon Musk for criticizing Lupita Nyong'o's looks over her casting in The Odyssey

Alec Baldwin didn't take kindly to Elon Musk disparaging Lupita Nyong'o's looks over her casting as Helen of Troy in the upcoming film The Odyssey based on Homer's epic poem.

The Tesla CEO grumbled that Nyong'o couldn't play Zeus's daughter, whose exceptional beauty sparked the 10-year Trojan War after she was taken to Troy by the Trojan prince Paris, according to Greek mythology.

Nyong'o will also be playing the role of Helen's sister Clytemnestra, who was beautiful but not enough to launch a thousand ships.

Baldwin defended Nyong'o via Instagram: 'Dear Elon… but she IS the most beautiful woman in the world,' alongside a photo of the 43-year-old Kenyan-Mexican actress.

The war of words started when political commentator and podcast host Matt Walsh wrote on X, 'Not one person on the planet actually thinks that Lupita Nyong'o is "the most beautiful woman in the world."'

Walsh, whose critics have accused him of promoting white supremacy and spreading racist conspiracy views, then directed his attack on the film's director.

If Nolan was really trying to trash the original story, he could name the movie "The Os", just like the special interest remake of The Wizard Of Oz called "The Wiz".

Or get the Snow White remake girl to head up the publicity tour.

And shouldn't Wil Smith be one of the Greek guys, like he made a movie career out of taking over the lead roles in other correct movies?

Wasn't Sydney Sweeney available? She floats boats.

1. Not even close

2. Greeks are White. Race Swapping a Black Actress for a White character in Greek mythology is - to use the Left’s own term - just about the worst example of cultural appropriation one can imagine.....not to mention a huge insult to the Greek people.

Try to imagine substituting Sydney Sweeney for a Black woman who was said to be the most beautiful woman in Africa. See if you can guess what the reaction would be.

Eliot Page is Ellen Page. Ellen Page declared herself transgender. Apparently she is playing the part of a male in this movie.

“a photo of the 43-year-old Kenyan-Mexican actress”

I’d guess Helen of Troy wasn’t 43 either. But the truth is Lupita Nyong’o isn’t a beautiful BLACK woman, let alone a beautiful Greek woman. She’d be a better pick for Achilles than Ellen Page...
