The Senate impeachment trial vote was on February 13th 2021.
Senator Bill Cassidy voted to convict (i.e. remove from office) a man who was ALREADY out of office.
Because the purpose of that vote was to prevent Donald Trump from ever holding office again.
So that all the policies that have been put into place, would never have been put into place.
Can't wait to see this anti-conservative "Republican" senator be defeated!

Hard to wrap my head around the fact that these people could call the media for coverage as they stand behind a podium and whine about how poor they are while getting free healthcare, money from lobbyists, and all kinds of perks that hardworking Americans who are having a tough time right now do not get.
So they want a free pass to insider trade stocks because they want the high life after constant vacationing and doing absolutely nothing for the people.
I don’t think this can be fixed anymore. I just shake my head.

Julia Letlow is a RINO and will be a constant disappointment.
Unlike Presidents since the early nineteenth century, Trump wouldn’t arrive in office with a legion of party camp-followers expecting patronage jobs. He didn’t need donors, so he was immune to lobbyists. He didn’t need the lobbyist grease that lubricates the payoffs, kickbacks and general criminality of Washington, DC.

No, Edwin Edwards was the brains behind the open primaries because he resented in 1972 having to run in a primary, a runoff, and then a general election. Republicans did quietly yield on the open primaries.
Letlow is or has been a supporter of DEI. Vote Fleming. Letlow will be little different from Cassidy, but she would not be so stupid to vote for an impeachment of one who has already left office.

Letlow could become the congressional equivalent of Amy Coney Barrett, also a Louisiana native.
Jason Chaffetz just torched Senator Bill Cassidy, straight-up calling him out as a fraud for voting to impeach and convict Trump. He asked if Cassidy would take it back now that we know the entire Russia impeachment push was a complete hoax.
Cassidy refused, doubling down with zero regrets and acting like a total whack job.

I seriously doubt it. The only three Senators who come to mind that would be chosen by their respective legislatures are Mike Lee (UT) Ted Cruz (TX) and Chuck Grassley (IA).
