WATCH: Trump Responds to Journalist Asking if He Will Rejoin WHO Over Hantavirus

President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter on Friday whether he would reconsider rejoining the World Health Organization in light of the ongoing hantavirus outbreak aboard a cruise ship.

The question came as Trump was speaking to the press on the South Lawn of the White House while departing for an event in Sterling, Virginia.

A reporter pressed the President on the hantavirus situation, beginning with asking if he had an update on the virus.

“We have it,” Trump responded. “We have very good people looking at it. It seems to be okay. They know the virus very well. They’ve worked with it for a long time.”

They are looking for any excuse to push us into another pandemic situation. I no longer believe a danged word any of them say.

Stay out of the WHO.

Cut out the UN as well.

The problem with every organization is that if they have power and funding, they will be targeted by liberal/communist types for takeover. Say you have a foundation set up and funded by a conservative. Time goes by. The foundation hires what they believe are conservative minded employees. Eventually those employees are the only ones running the foundation. Then they pull off their masks and underneath they are communists. The same happens with government departments and churches.

A simple solution to keep us all safe would be to require public buildings to have a handwashing sink at the entrance with everyone is required to wash their hands upon entering.

Do you have any idea how the Andes type of Hanta is spread...?

Let’s just say you have to get up close and personal to acquire it.

That said, I’m more worried about the blood supply given how long the virus can persist in certain bodily fluids.

No one is ever going to violate my freedom again.A wash hands protocol is still a violation of ones freedom of movementand freedom of assembly.

All health protocols should be voluntary, and up to the decisionof property owners and business owners.

Our national sovereignty need not be violated by WHO or anyone else. If we need health protocols which limit our freedoms, then we need to vote on such restrictions state by state, or community to community.

Scare tactics are not fact.

Iveermectin will cure Hanta Virus infection in short order. UNtil WHO or the government acknowledge that, IMHO they are just using a virus for population control via totalitarianism.

Ivermectin 12mg costs only a few cents per tablet. Make it available over the counter without prescription. You will see no more sensationalism about the Hanta virus, or any pther RNA based virus.

How is it spread, P in the V or P in the A?

Haven’t been able to find any info relating to v so far.

Just one article this morning...

https://www.muscatdaily.com/2026/05/10/who-dismisses-pandemic-concerns-over-hanta-virus-outbreak/

Note how daintily they put it...

“...The current outbreak is specifically linked to the Andes virus, which is the only known variant capable of limited human-to-human transmission. This occurs primarily through close and prolonged contact, particularly within confined indoor spaces...”

Per AI...

“Key Findings on ANDV Persistence and TransmissionViral Persistence in Reproductive Tract: A 2023 study found that ANDV RNA can persist in the human reproductive tract (specifically, the semen of a male patient) for at least 71 months.

Systemic Shedding: Research indicates that during the acute phase of Hantavirus Cardiopulmonary Syndrome (HCPS), ANDV-RNA is found in various body fluids, including blood, urine, saliva, and genital secretions.

Sexual Transmission Potential: The persistence of ANDV in the reproductive tract suggests the potential for sexual transmission, which is a rare, documented feature of Andes virus that distinguishes it from other hantaviruses.

Mechanism of Transmission: While primarily transmitted by aerosolized rodent excreta, person-to-person transmission often occurs through close contact with a patient during their symptomatic or early recovery phase.”

In another article, Trump said we aren’t going to do the masks/lockdowns/mandates that they instituted for the Covid crap.
WHO is desperate since we left them...and the mRNA developers are rubbing their hands over the money they can get for “solving” a nothingburger...

Yep. The UN and the bureaucracies will turn everything into deadly pandemics. This virus is only a pandemic to rodents which overpopulate a small area. Bait stations, regular cleanup of drawers, and washing hands alot will be more effective than any government response.

The blood supply here is already trash from the MRNA in it.

Looks like the virus, which usually spread just from rats to humans, found a way to transfer from human to human.
But it is more like Ebola, deadly, but not spreading too easily.
It looks like they should be able to isolate and control it quite easily.

Trump could’ve blown her off and/or told her that her question was stupid but he didn’t. I think that was awfully nice of him.

I also liked the “arches” we had to go under at my medical facility that immediately tested one’s temperature.

Far easier, faster and less invasive than taking everyone’s temperature individually for entry.

No thank you. How is this any different than the mask requirements?

Looks like the virus, which usually spread just from rats to humans, found a way to transfer from human to human.

According to Grok, "most hantaviruses do not spread from person to person. They are primarily transmitted from rodents (like mice and rats) to humans through contact with urine, droppings, saliva, or nesting materials—often by inhaling aerosolized particles."
