The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission has pumped the brakes on a vile vanity license plate that appears to target President Trump – and includes a string of now infamous numbers that seemingly call for his head.
The state licensing agency, which approves vanity plates but rejects requests for political jabs or coded messaging, is yanking the controversial tag reading “FDT8647” after it slipped through the cracks for more than a year and eventually sparked online uproar, an MVC spokesperson told NJ.com.
While the No. “86” is restaurant slang for getting rid of something, it has recently taken on a new meaning life, with interpretations tied to alleged death threats against Trump, the 47th president.

In the 70s and 80s getting 86'd meant getting banned from a bar. At least on the west coast that's what it meant. I never heard the Mafia association until recently.
