Zero. There are currently no European-headquartered public companies with a market capitalization of $1 trillion or more.

As of May 2026, the largest European companies by market cap are all well below this threshold (figures are approximate and fluctuate daily): ASML (Netherlands): ~$580–590 billion (the current leader). Roche (Switzerland): ~$320–330 billion. LVMH (France): ~$260–275 billion. Others like SAP (Germany), Novo Nordisk (Denmark), AstraZeneca (UK), etc., are generally in the $200–250 billion range or lower.

For context, the global trillion-dollar club is dominated by U.S. tech giants (e.g., Nvidia, Apple, Alphabet/Microsoft in the multi-trillion range), with a few others like Saudi Aramco. Europe’s largest firms are strong in semiconductors, luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, and software, but none have reached the scale of the biggest American counterparts. Note that "European" here typically refers to companies headquartered in Europe (EU, UK, Switzerland, etc.), not those merely listed or operating there. Market caps are dynamic and sourced from aggregators like companiesmarketcap.com; none currently cross $1T.

Apple was founded 9 years before ASML so there’s NO WAY Apple would not have been founded without ASML.
Try and make some sense will ya?

The future lies east of Suez

Europe has stagnated beyond competitive recovery.

ASML didn’t even become significant until the late 90s or early 2000s. Further, Intel, Samsung and TSMC own a good bit of the company.

When did I ever say anything about Apple's founding? The then-fledgling company's Apple IIe or Macintosh that Jobs and Woz made, or which almost went bankrupt in 1997, have nothing to do what with gigantic Apple is TODAY.

Silicon runs their iPhones, Mac Minis and iPads. Silicon only made possible - like NVDIA's - with ASML’s technology. ASML holds a monopoly on the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines required to manufacture the most advanced AI chips (such as Nvidia's H100, H200, and Blackwell GPUs) and processors that run every iPhone. ASML may eb the most important company on Earth, yet few people know who they even are.

In your post 15 you claimed and I quote:
“There is no Google, Apple or Nvdia without ASML.”
Again Apple existed for NINE years before ASML, so how the heck does Apple not exist without ASML? With or without ASML Apple and Google still exist.

” Silicon runs their iPhones, Mac Minis and iPads. Silicon only made possible - like NVDIA’s - with ASML’s technology.”

Apple was using Motorola chips then chips from Intel for their Apple macs long before ASML was even created.
Intel had been making chips since it was founded in 1968.

Intel began making semiconductor memory chips immediately upon its founding in 1968. The company introduced its first commercial microprocessor, the Intel 4004, in 1971, which revolutionized the industry.

Where was ASML then?
